Daily Driver 3RZ 4Runner Build

Went and picked this stuff up. Got a bunch of random parts. Mainly my 4.10 diffs, axle housing is a bonus, also got some stock rear shocks as placeholders for when I drop it, and a new bumper corner for my brother's runner.

And I finally dropped in my warranty wideband from Innovate. The process was easy, my laziness was the only thing that delayed it.

The gauge only confirmed what I'd already knew. The runner has basically ironed out the small issues I was having on it's own. No more unstable idle, over-fueling on decel or anything wonky. It's running perfect, the ECU has adjusted the map to compensate for the turbo perfectly.

Got the front diff and CV's out. Sucked ass, the other CV had kinked the splines in the hub, which is weird considering it seems fine itself, so I had to pound the bejesus out of it to get it to come out. Hopefully warn will work with me so I don't have to buy another set.

Non-ADD stub shaft swapped over to the 4.10 diff.

Then diff into 4runner, also bolted in the driveshaft.

Waiting on Upper Ball joints and then i can swap spindles and install axles.

Bought a set of load leveler airbags from [MENTION=116387]Unner[/MENTION], don't want to be riding around on the framerails when it's loaded down with stock rear coils.

I'd also just like to say UPS "Mail Innovations" And Fedex "Smartpost" are the dumbest things ever to happen to shipping. They always end up taking longer and moving my packages more times. I've been delayed probably 2 weeks on my new UBJ's beacuse of Fedex smartpost. Look at the package tracking history. Stupid.

Yep, dropping the stock 97 2WD coils in, sit 3" lower than 99 talls. May be a little too low to get a good shock, so I may have to find 4WD coils. We'll see.

I really don't get how it went from in transit to dayton from salem (Literally a 20 minute drive) to in Kent and then back to Troutdale. Fedex already sucks in my area, but these USPS handoff deals always end up like this for me, with both UPS and Fedex.

Got a nice little traction device thanks to [MENTION=30949]SIKHILUXSURF[/MENTION]. My right rear tire will be happy once I put this in, since the turbo was put in, I've spun that single tire so much that it now has half the tread of the other side.

Nothing yet, been cleaning out the shop, working on the RX7, and dabbling with the Taco a tiny bit. "8.4" is the Tacoma open diff and also the newer Runners and FJ's too, it's really just the same ring gear in a wider carrier. 1st - 3rd gen diffs are all 8", and although slightly different, are interchagable.

Here's a major one for ya, a couple months later though.

Haven't changed a single thing on the runner. But it did finally blow up. It actually had another head gasket failure, surprisingly, I figured that it would crack a ring or something first.

RIP 3RZ.

It's gonna be a while, but the turd will rise again.
