Damage pics... how bad?

Hey guys, I was doing about 65 on the freeway when suddenly the truck started shaking violently and then i heard loud banging sounds... i pulled over and my driveshaft was gone... I ran onto the freeway to get it back before anyone hit it (that, and i didnt wanna buy another lol) How bad is this damage? Will it be expensive? I wish it was just replacing U joints, but this caused the u joint attachments to get damaged... It took out a pro comp shock too.. =(

If there is no other damage (like the DS is bent or something), a new flange and U-joint should do the job.

My main concern was the flange on the differential, I was thinking it was part of the differential... =) phew, i feel better!! =)

Just bought the u joints at Auto Zone for 8 bucks with 2 year warranty... NICE. =) They dont sell the "yokes" or whatever they are called though

you can get the yoke at a junk yard for like 10bucks... then whatever you feel like spending on the shock.

kinda weird for a highway accident???

Oh man! If there arnt any junk yards around you, try nix99.com. Ive had very good luck getting hard to find parts through them.

Something else to consider... you might want to get the drive shaft balanced before installation. Bouncing down the road can never be good for it.
