Thanks man! It was our anniversary a couple days ago. She's come a long way. Could barely make it down the street when I first got her now I've gone on multiple 1000+ mile road trips as well as off-roading. Feels good.

Confirmed I am pre-wired for the locker swap. Figured I was because 5-speed just wasn't sure until today. Very happy!

Great time on the first off-roading/camping trip of the Spring this weekend. Had a blast and made some new friends! Already looking forward to the next.

Thanks man! Night and day difference. Now to source a front one and grille...and a sport hood...and sport seats...and sport wheels...well...maybe F5's or 5th gen TRD PRO's...ugh...why can't money grow on trees!

Cleaned her up a bit. Need to do spring detail clay/wax soon.

Washed, clayed, a little polish and sealant. Used Menzerna Power Lock. Fantastic stuff.

Picked up an OEM sport hood. Dropped it off for paint at local shop. Found a black grille as well. Happy I didn't have to go aftermarket route.

E-locker retrofit completed yesterday. Long day but super fun. Learned a lot from my friend on soldering among other things involved.

Put new axle seals in replacement locker housing which is in REALLY good condition along with the locker. Filled with Valvoline 80W-90 but will flush after 2k or so and replace.

Bled brakes afterwards.

With ECU and factory switch in place we followed the Sonoran Steel DIY writeup along with the factory wiring guide.

Got it working as if it was factory. Light flashes while trying to activate and goes solid once locked. Except we did grey wire mod because using it just in 4Lo is boring.

Locks right up.

So can anyone tell me why cutting the two wires for the black connector would cause the truck to not get fuel? They don't seem like they go anywhere? Are they grounds for the fuel pump?

Thanks man. And Awesome! The wiring was the most tedious part. Are you pre-wired like I was?

And we put new seals in the locker housing but didn't replace wheel bearings. Haven't noticed any issues.

Great idea on putting the 4:10 in. I got both diffs from a limited w/ locker, but I'm now thinking of selling the 3rd and getting a 4:10 to stay matched. Instead of rr front diffs.

If you have the plugs like I did I recommend getting the ECU and switch if you can find them for cheap. It's nice to have the light on the dash and not have it be completely "dumb."

And yeah for gearing, as much it could be considered an "upgrade" to go to 4.30's or 4.56...It's a LOT of extra work to pull the front diff that I didn't feel justified for.

I like the stock gearing and on the highway it's high enough rpm's at 75-80.

TRUCK UPDATE:

• E-locker Retrofit - DONE.
• Sunroof Assembly Remove/replace - Slowly pulling interior pieces and keeping a track of them. Lot of bs involved in this one...
• Rear windows tinted, Taco whip mod, new speakers/sub - Parts ordered for Taco whip mod, subwoofer coming today!!
• Black rear sport edition/limited bumper assembly remove/replace w/ tow hitch flip - DONE!
• Paint ****ing center caps - To be completed. Lot of work for 4 POS caps.
• Certifit sport hood purchase from Baltimore location, possible front bumper as well - Went with Genuine Toyota hood from a clean parts truck. PAINTED. Picking up today or tomorrow. Need to figure out front bumper situation...
• Potential lift purchase...still researching. - Still researching. SS 1.2 is in lead, but price is still nagging at me.
