Thanks man. I don't really think it's too extreme. Believe it or not, my goal is to keep it more tame then the FJC I had.

As for the net, it's the net for the FJ Cruiser. Basically mounts to the D-rings on the floor. For the top mount, you need to buy two more D-rings (or relocate the other two mounted in the cargo area) and mount them where the coat hangers mount. The coat hangers are mounted with (2) 10mm bolts which attach to the body for a solid connection. You'll have to trim a little of the plastic coat hanger to get the d-rings to fit nicely, but not a huge deal.

You have one of the sweeter 4Runners I have seen.

I have a little one on the way and am doing some mods to my 4Runner, although not as extreme as you have done.

Anyhow, I want a cargo net and have check off road concepts product line and don't see anything specifically for a 4th Gen 4Runner. Which net do you have? I am assuming it is a FJ Cruiser net? What modifications need to be done in the cargo area to install it, or does it simply interface with the existing hardware?

one question though: I really dig the rear mounted spare, an have been looking at bumper and bumper attachments to mount the spare. Where did you find your bumper? It looks has the hinge to swing the wheel to the driver side, good feature.

Thanks, the bumper is pseudo custom by 4x4labs in Grass Valley, CA, largely known in the Landcruiser crowd. I say pseudo because they're made to order and he needs your rig to build it. Cutting the rear crossmember off is a requirement to fit this bumper too.

Look into CBI rear bumper for a less extreme modification.

Yes, installed myself. I've done multiple installs on FJ's, and they're pretty much the same. I can help you out, we can knock it out in a couple hours. Just give me call when you get it in.

FYI, think about getting Toytec Suplerflex rear coils. Icon springs tend to sag over time, at least thats been my experience.

Would you recommend the 650 lb or 700 lb spring if I go with the Radflos. Which shock diameter, 2 in or 2.5 inch. And which rear shock?

I don't think the Radflo's offered by toytec are the same developed by OW, but check with OW first. If you're thinking of going radflo, just go with OW's springs. Contact Andries at OW, tell him I sent you. He'll be happy to talk you through the technical stuff. Personally, if you're not going with a steel bumper in the front, 700lbs will be too stiff IMO, others may have different opinions.

I'm running OW/Radflo 2.5 fronts and rears with All Pro 3.5" (220lbs spring rate) springs to compensate for the heavy rear end.

I've had good experience with Icons on the FJ, but their monotube rear and rear springs shocks aren't that great. They've got piggy back rears but they're $$$.

So I finally got the SW bumper after about 6 months of waiting. Still waiting on the PIAA fogs to come in, but here are some pics from this last weekend up in Tahoe. Did some exploring with the dogs over at Stampede Resevoir and also got in a quick run over at Eagle Lakes on the way home.

Looks good! The picture of your dogs just peeking over the tailgate is awesome. Bumper looks great. Makes me want a bumper, just have to wait what the SW and Demello final bumpers look like. I'm hoping for a single hoop version too.

Wonder what a rear would look like on the 5th gen.

Are you going to make the 23rd in Hollister?

Thanks man. Based on my experience with Shrockworks, I'd say spend your money with Demello. Shrockworks are not bad people, but the wait time is rediculous.

A 5th Gen would look sic with bumpers all around. It's just waiting ofr mfgs to make stuff, unless you go custom. I know a few places if you're interested.

Not sure about Hollister yet, if I go, it will be a last minute thing and if the wifey and baby want to go. I don't get to see Roscoe very much during the week, so usually my weekends are spoken for.

Me and my buddy hooked up the VisionX Tantrum LED rock lights the other night. I fried the controller box when it was hooked up on my FJ, so I bypassed the controller box and wired them to the runner. I lost the blinking light functions, but those were stupid anyway and never used it. So now it's an on-off switch instead of a remote control.

YO! NICE! i like the bumper. wheres a good place where i can find nice bumpers or brush guards for a good price? i got 95 im re-building in my auto- tech class. also, where did you find those under carage lights? that gave me some insperation!
