Dark Grey Wheels?

So I am in the hunt for some new wheels, and to be specific I am looking for some dark grey wheels. I have a black TE and I think dark grey wheels look great on black trucks.

I love the Rockmonster wheels, but they are pretty pricey, and I also dont really want 50lb wheels on my daily driver that wont be wheeled that hard.

I might just have to get some wheels powdercoated but its worth a shot to see if you guys new anything offhand.

Thanks peoples

American racing with the Teflon coating. One of the darkest greys (maybe even black). They are alloys painted with the Teflon coating. Not 50 LBs and not $450 (you can find them for $150 and up).

I agree, I think the all black look is too much.. Thats why I want more of a grey so there is a contrast.

I know I am bumping an old thread but i am looking for a set of grey rims and cant seem to find any. Does anyone know of any? Also, What are the rims in the third picture above? They look pretty nice but i cant seem to find them anywhere. Thanks y'all!

Deeds, mine are the first picture that they posted up top. You can view my build thread if you want to see them.

I am a big fan of VERY simple lines - Dark Grey "Gunmetal" from FN Wheels (these are the BFD's) -

Same here. However, the Countersteer Type Xs are now available in the same color. I prefer those to the FN BFDs.

Yeah, for that matter Dustin (FN Wheels) sells the Konig Six-Shooters too. I like the six-shooter best but it doesn't come in 18".

I am going with BFD's ONLY because I want 18" vs 17" (the six shooters and countersteers are not avail in 18").

(Don't want to hijack Hawk21's thread, and will move this post if anyone thinks I am).

I'm looking for a set of wheels for mounting winter-rated tires on my mag grey TE. I like the idea of grey wheels rather than black, but will it look like too much of the same color, or an attempt to colour-match that didn't work?

Opinions appreciated on grey vs. black for a mag grey TE. I'd also like recommendations of wheel designs that have "porthole" type vents like the stock TE wheels, rather than "spoke" type designs. The pic in 4RunnerTrail's post above illustrates the difference. Thanks!

I have been going through this very question for a couple of months as I waited for my Mag Gray LE to show up.

Started by pouring over this http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/57313-5th-gen-toyota-4runner-owners-picture-thread.html

Then, searched Google images with a few different search terms and that'll get you more.

But - I had a dark gray 550i sports sedan that I had gunmetal gray rims to sport my Blizzaks in the winter. It looked GREAT (not too "matchy" and not so far off it looked weird - Like a bronze would for example).

To me, black on the LE was not a look I wanted. If I had gotten a Trail, I think Black would look great (e.g. Ultra Gauntlets, etc).

I finally decided I was either going with a muted silver wheel or Gunmetal...and decided to go Gunmetal. With the black tires and slight lift, the "shade" of gray will look great on a Mag Gray 4Runner IMO.

My .02 - But look around the site, brotha...
