I did a search and found some people are using Simple Green to clean their dash. What are some other products out there? I am not really that excited about using Simple Green because I have seen it strip wax off of floors.

303 Aerospace works great!! Use it on my 4Runner, the wife's 2004 Acura TL, and my 1988 Monte Carlo SS. Keeps the dash looking great!!alpha said:

I use a damp MF cloth on the dash.
Tuff Stuff on dirty areas like the steering wheel, shift knob, door handles, door sills, kick panels, etc.
I only use Vinylex inside. 303 is too shiny on the 4Runner for me. The 4th gen have a very matt-finish dash.
I use 303 on the exterior, and interior on other vehicles.
I use both in the engine bay.

I usually use a damp towel to get the dust off, but recently bought some Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer to give that a try. I've always been happy with Meguiar's products and it appears that it won't leave residue or make everything shiny like other products. You may want to give it a try.

303 Aerospace is awesome, it really has a lot of uses too. I orginally started using it on my kayak and water gear for uv/color fade/repelling protection. I've been using Armor All Protectant Wipes lately though and I think I'm going to stick with them.

I use Vinylex, but I did buy a bottle of 303 from my local Ace Hardware. When the Vinylex runs out i'll use the 303

Call me "Old School" if you wish, but I use Armor-All. I've been driving now for almost 25 years, and have had very good luck using their products.
Oh, I know some hate the shiny glare that it can cause -- but I love it!
On the outside of the 4Runner (and my '02 Sentra, for that matter), I find that Dri-Wash works best. I can do the whole truck in about 45 to 50 minutes without using a drop of water! That stuff costs a pretty penny, but is well worth what you save in having to use 'traditional' waxes and polishes. You can also use it in direct sunlight.
