Dash cluster light question

For those of you familiar with the electronics in the cluster (2003), can the failure of one bulb cause the failure of all of them, like with a series circuit? I'm referring to the gauge backlighting, not the inscription lights.

I have left led's off and everything still lights up.

Just wondering if anyone knows which of the four connectors has feed from the dimmer for the backlights:

The radio/AC stack lights work fine and the dimmer works with those. I am guessing it is something on the circuit board...a cold solder, bad resistor, capacitor etc....but who knows

Is the light really dim behind the speedometer and such or is it out completely?

They are completely out. They blinked intermittently for a few months before going out.

i would try and solder in new leds or better yet do a new color. leds do fail, if you got 14 years out of the stock leds, its good.

Not sure it was the lights as they were all blinking in unison intermittently before they went TU

thats looks strange, check the dimmer wire on the radio too, and see what happens when you unhook the orange wire.
there was a thread on a cluster mod where it made the cluster have full brightness regardless if the lights are on and off.
