Dash Command odb2 software

I just read in Honda Tuning magazine about Dash Commander. Does anyone have any experience with this odb2 reader and management tool!? Looks pretty neat and not to bad in price at $50.

I just bought a pioneer head unit that is compatible with dash command. I been thinking about buying the app and a wifi obdii to play with it a bit, but I dont know if I want to spend $50 for the app, then $150 for a wifi obdii. Anybody pull the trigger on this app yet? any input?

I have the wired cable for my iPhone 4, and the free app that comes with the cable. It fully supports the DashCommand app. But I balked at the $50 price tag and have yet to get it as I mainly just use the app to scan engine codes. I have also heard of some problems with the app such as incompatibilities with certain vehicles.

DiegosAnotherR1 is that the pioneer App radio? Played with that thing in best buy yesterday, Very cool.

Yea. I bought the appradio2. It is pretty cool. The only thing that I dont like about it is a bug that causes the screen to go blank after listen to pandora for a while. I read it is a bug on pandora's side, so I'm just hoping pandora puts out a update soon to fix it. everything else on it works just fine. I'm still debating if I should buy dash command. It would be pretty cool to monitor my mpg and all that stuff. I belive it has a inclinmeter for offroading too

If it ties directly into your head unit like that I would definitely try it out. That would be killer to have those gauges displayed. And they look very cool too!

Amazon.com: Soliport ELM 327 Bluetooth OBDII OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner: Automotive

I got this one off amazon because i could get it shipped overnight for under 20 bucks total and I figured it's so cheap why the heck not. (I already have a wired one specific for my iPhone but I needed a bluetooth one to work for an android tablet project I was working on at the time) Plugged it in and BAM, it worked great! I haven't tried to pair it to my iPhone yet (so I don't know if it would be compatible), but seriously how can you beat that for the price. I would give it a shot.

Also you can't leave this thing plugged in 24/7 as it will drain battery. But you can grab a cheap OBD port "Y" cable from amazon, and cut the wire that goes to the power pin, (bottom left I believe, but don't hold me to that) and then connect it to an ignition source. That way the adapter will only be powered when the car is on and thus won't drain your battery.

i just read that iPhone needs WLAN and cant use the bluetooth. im not sure if this si true though

i found some WLAN ones that arent too expensive
