Yes, they are brighter, and fit better, especially in the switches. The HVAC you have more room to work with. Also no one has noted yet, but you may have to widen the socket holes to get the bulbs to fit correctly

One thing to keep in mind is that LEDs are polarity sensitive, whereas incandescent bulbs are not. This means you need to put the + terminal on the + supply. So if it doesn't work, turn it around and switch the contacts.

That's where the D part of LED comes in - it's a diode, so it won't allow current to flow in the opposite direction.

I want to swap out all my switches with LEDs.
Before I order, was hoping someone could list out how many LEDs of each to order. What does each of the following require?

HVAC controls
Seat Heater switches
4x4
DAC
Rear Window Switch
Shifter
Defroster
Recirc
Height control (can't remember if this one actually lights up...)
AC outlet control
Center Dif

am I missing anything?

there are some clips around the back side of the knob, if its too hard for you to squeeze it out and play with it, its better to just remove the whole dash. just like your doing a new radio install.

My rig is a 2006 sport v8 2wd. All stock now as far as the lights go.

The left side of the AC digital display will not light up. I have replaced all the bulbs still won’t light. All others do light. Bulbs purchased from the dealer new.

LEDs

The reason they seem like duds is because in that location on the circuit board it doesn't supply 12V. I tested this with my multimeter. I can't remember what the voltage was, but I don't think it was high enough to reliably run the newer HP LEDs they sell. Check out this thread. If anyone has any questions I might be able to help.
