Dash lighting

Hey Folks,

I am replacing some of the stock green bulbs in my instrument cluster with some LED bulbs. Bench tested in the stock housing they work great. Reinstalled in the truck they don't. I found that you have to have the proper positive/negative poles correctly inserted. Not sure why I assumed it would be any other way.....but the question....

Will the dash lights come on with the headlight switch if the dimmer switch is not plugged in?

No. Dimmer switch has to be plugged in. Went through that too.

Point the hunter guys gun at me instead. I had a jackass moment. The answer is emphatically yes........I was struggling with the connector....until I removed the dimmer and made it easier.....

Yeah I am kicking myself just a tad. Good of you to reply so quickly as having done this, you know the current state of my cab.

Yep. It's a pain in the ass trying to get all the polarity lined up too. I've got to pull mine back apart soon to mount the led for my alarm in the dash also.
