About to pull the trigger on 1999-2002 Toyota 4Runner Center Panel 55412-35200 | DiscMonster but figured I would check here first.

Would post in classifieds but I think I need 20 posts or something before I can start a new thread.

I'd suggest a junk yard. I found a replacement for mine for $20 when I broke it

I noticed some have painted and others plasti dipped. Any feedback on durability for each?

Well people usually use plastidip as a temp 'mockup' before real painting so they can see if they like the color without committing.
If you know the color you're gonna stick with, I'd suggest paint and be done with it. It's cheaper than plastidip, too.

Some people peel the wood off the panels to expose the black plastic underneath. Seems like a real pain though.

I have no idea why anyone thought stick on woodgrain was a good idea. I have a 98 limited with that originally in it. And my parts mobile was a limited without stick on woodgrain. Must have been some kind of addon dealers did as I hope that wasnt stuck on from the factory like that. Being the age of it now. No way would it survive being moved around too much.
