I need help removing my dashkit. I bought the 4runner with the kit already installed. I wouldl like to have it removed, but I am afraid that it will scratch everything under it. any thoughts?

dashkit?? I'm assuming that your truck came with those stick on woodgrain/carbon fiber kits?? I would try to remove the dash part (if possible) and dunk it in very warm water and try to easily peel the "sticker" off. I've tried to take out a kit in another car without anything, but ended up screwing the hell out of the dash. Even if some of the dry adhesive sticks to the dash, take it off with soap and water (warm). Scrub with sponge (nothing abrasive). Good luck

rubbing alcohol will loosen the double backed tape glue,wet a rag with it & keep rewetting behind the piece to loose the adhesive as u pull, but dont be surprised if the previous owner used super glue to hold some parts of the peices down on the more curved areas, ie door handles, etc. otherthan that soak some dental floss in it & work it behind the piece & the dash, keep it wet tho. goodluck
