Love your build!
I just got a '17 TRD Offroad and am starting my build and was looking into the Demello Offroad Hybrid Sliders.
When you swap your tire are you putting in a jack stand after lifting it with the Hi Lift or just leaving the Hi Lift while you swap the tire? (I'm trying to figure out if the Demello will support the weight of the vehicle while I swap one tire at a time.)
- mainly trying to figure out long term effects of just the hi lift on the bolt on application with no weld
What are the specs of your rear coils? Why did you choose that brand over the popular OME Heavy Coil?
Do you think if I ask for the same set and send your specs, they could make them the same...? I am looking at the same or similar weights and currently have the Toytec HD rear coils and am concerned with the rally gear or a decent over landing trip it would be ass heavy and sag...chmura
CSS spring specs are:
18" free height
240 / 300lbs variable rate
.671 diam
7.625 coils
I went with Custom Spring Specialties because I was tired to buying springs. Having already been through Downey Offroad and Icon springs I wanted to do it right and be done with it. I heard too many complaints about the OME Heavy Coils being way too stiff so I didn't even consider them. I contacted Scott at Deaver Spring in Santa Ana and gave him the numbers I was working with and he came up with the specs for the CSS springs. Having custom springs made for my particular set up seemed to make much more sense than trial and error with off-the-shelf springs. Yes, they're pricier than off-the-shelf springs but still cheaper than buying multiple sets. Plus they fit my needs exactly.
The 4Runner does sit a little ass high when not fully loaded but the ride is still nice and smooth. With the rear compartment loaded with gear and gas cans full, it still sits a little higher than level in the rear.
Stance with only fridge and recovery gear in rear compartment. Empty gas cans on rear bumper.

SAR_Runner I can't see why not. Give Deaver a call. Several others have gone this route through them (the Josh and BlairB come to mind). It's been a few years, but when I got my springs, I spoke to Scott. A correction to my post above, it's COIL Spring Specialties, not Custom Spring Specialties.

Incredible build dawg4runner
Agreed!
When I get back from work I'll make myself a second coffee and read the whole thing!
I love what you did! Thanks for great ideas!
Dawg, I really love your build. I love it so much that I copied your wheels. I just recently purchased it and I am confused about what lug nuts to use. I saw a post you posted on another thread about a different set of wheels (method NV) and you stated to get the extended tread and hub centric rings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, for the Crown Extended Brake Line Kit, whats the length over stock that you got?
