Daystar says they don't have a kit for 2015 4Runner

Hi everyone, first post here. So I'm trying not to be a noob here, but sorry if this has been asked already. I'll be taking delivery of a 2015 SR5 4wd next week, and I've been addicted to these forums trying to figure out what I want to do with it. I'm pretty new to 4Runners or really trucks in general, but after tons of late nights (and a few sneaky moments at work) looking at these forums and realizing that I've just bought into yet another addicting money pit hobby :twitch:, I've decided that I want to try Bilstein 5100s front and back, front at 1.75 with a rear spacer (Daystar 1.5in). That seems like the consensus "budget looks and performance" setup around here. I want to level out, get a little tougher look, and hopefully better road manners.

So far so good right? Well, I can't find anywhere that says the Daystar spacer will actually fit a 2015. I see the one for the 2010-2013 that most people seem to be using, and I'm guessing that mechanically the 2015 should be the same in that regard, but every website I go to says it only fits up to 2013. Part #KT09133BK right?

So I asked Daystar.

Look closely and see that "Tech" is copied on the email too, so it doesn't seem like it's just one cust. relations guy making a mistake.

Huh. Well, I know I've seen a ton of build threads here with 2014-2015 T4Rs saying they used the "Daystar 1.5 Spacer", but I'm hoping someone here could shed some light. Maybe Daystar just doesn't want to say "yeah, it'll fit, we just can't officially say that online yet" or something. I'm going to have a shop do the install for me, so I would rather not walk in there with a trunk full of parts and get a call saying "yeah man, you got the wrong stuff".

So, am I just way off on what I need in the back of my soon to be new T4R or is Daystar just being careful with PR? Thanks ahead for anyone who can shed some light on this!

Sounds like you just need to go with an Icon stage 6 then.

The daystar spacers will be fine. There is no difference on the buckets or the coils between the 2010-2015 4runner.

I'm sure they want to cover liability in case something changed on the model year, I don't know if it has but since you see most of the 4Runner suspension cross over with FJ's and even 4th gens the likely answer it that it isn't any different. I'm sure if you went through the lifted thread, start with the newest and work back, you'll find multiple folks that did the same setup you want. Likely can PM them about the install...

But I really like the Icon stage 6 idea as well...

Just to clear this up for 2015 owners....

Your 4 runner is basically identical to a 2010+ 5th gen 4 runner. The front bumper, headlights, and a few pieces of plastic in the interior and exterior are different and that is about it. Anything mechanical or suspension related is the same. There are some very minor things (like a smog pump) that changed over the years with the motor.

In fact, your truck is also identical in many ways to a 2010 + FJ. Much of the suspension goes all the way back to the 4th gen.

Bottom line, when looking for parts (like suspension...) look for 2010+ 4Runner or FJ compatibility. The reason I bring up the FJ is that they are about 10x more parts listed for that application.

Yeah, everything I read online seemed to say that mechanically 2010-2015 are the same for what I want to do, but I really appreciate the confirmation from everyone here.

I also found a friend that is willing and able to help me do the install, so I'm gonna go ahead and order the parts now.
