Kinda new to this forum but have spent many hours looking at lifts and such, and as much as I would love to go FJ springs and Bilstein 5100 I don't have the income at the moment and my XREAS is in surprising good condition for 80,000 miles.
So thanks to pictures of mustangchris66's 4runner I decided to go daystar 1" front and 1.5" rear spacers. This is also do to a pretty new set of stock size michelin tires on, and can't see a reason to drop couple hundred on slightly larger REVO 2s, which I had on my 98 4runner and loved. Anyway I was wondering about why most use the FJ daystar 1.5" rear is it just because it costs less? (seems about 40$ for FJ and 120$ for 4runner one), though I do notice they look different so will this effect install?
Then I was wondering about installing, I would rather have a local offroad shop do it, so its done proffesionally and right, but was wondering if anyone had any idea of what a fair price for installation of front and rear spacers would be. If it ends up being rediculous then probably will spend a weekend with my dad doing it.
Not to make this post super long but was also wondering about spidertrax wheel spacers. Was thinking of getting it all done at once and in one trip to do alignment, but was wondering if the wheel spacers add extra stress to the bearings and will mess them up down the road or anything else for that matter? Didn't see many complaints on the forum but figured I'd ask to be sure.
Thanks for any help!
