Daystar vs. FJC springs: Brief

In a nutshell:
I am overwhelmed with the data on this forum about both topics so I will just ask for pointers -

1: FRONT END ONLY leveling kit to eliminate rake thread that includes XREAS notes or if it cannot be done safely with XREAS...that is helpful too.

2: List of parts/prices for replacing the XREAS system entirely in favor of the FJC setup.

I will apologize now for what appears to be obvious questions but I have limited time in the evenings to surf this forum and it is just too much to parse.
Thank you all for your patience with me.

Well if you want to ditch the stock XREAS for the FJ set up I would go look on the FJ forum and see if you can find a whole set up there. I bought my stuff there and I paid 210.00 shipped for springs and the Trail Teams Bilstein shocks. My fronts were still assembled so it was just a bolt in deal.

As for just a front spacer alot of members have done the 1"(net) lift spacer from toytec or the Cornfed 1" spacer and been happy.

Thanks for the feedback on what (I'm sure) is a very tired subject.
The truck is an 05 V8 Sport with 93K on the clock.

At close to 100K miles, it wouldn't be a bad idea to swap to new shocks. 5100S are great and can be purchases for under $300. That and fj coils would work well. You can also use 07-09 fj shocks. Most people buy the fj stuff used, so prices vary. All you need to swap from xreas is the new shocks, you can reuse the stock coils.

had 100k+ on my rig and thought the xreas were fine...with closer look, half of them were leaking. got a whole set of FJ shocks/springs off a friend for a few dollars and its NIGHT and day. just stiff enough to feel the road and ive already posted the off road capabilities of it, so A+ on the idea of ditching the xreas.

Thanks for the encouragement. After climbing under the truck to 'examine' the xreas shocks, I have a leaky one...so I will trash the whole set-up. Looks to me like it can be done with hand tools in my garage so I will get after it. Considering the OME setup from Iron Pig Off Road.

If you're swapping shocks and coils, my preferred setup is 5100s all around, ome front coils with top plate spacer for a full 3" lift, and Toytec superflex rear coils. I've heard from several people that the ome shocks are very stiff, people seem to be getting better ride quality out of the 5100s. Also, unless you're acceding weight to the rear such as a bumper, the ome coils well be very stiff. Ome rear coils are 40%-45% stiffer than stock, the Toytec coils are 10% stiffer and therefore will ride much better.

Also, unless you're local to iron pig offroad, you can get a much better deal elsewhere. shipping to my zip is almost $100. Plus they don't include the spacers for the front. You can get 5100s for under $300 from ajusa.com, and you can order a kit with the coils and spacers mentioned above from Toytec. Toytec also offers a 5% discount for forum members. Buying here you'd pay about $700 shipped instead of about $850 at iron pig offroad.
