Dealership coolant flush

seems like jacking up the front could help but I also wonder how high I would have to get the front to make a difference.

I just run it up on a curb. Seems to do the job...

Good idea, I'll just run over several of the terraces in the field out front...should do the job.

No, no, no, you just do it to raise the front and park it that way while you add coolant with the engine running until the thermostat opens. Once it stops burping, put the cap back on and THEN go have fun in the field.

oh ok, gotcha. After doing as you say, will riding over the terraces afterwards and then checking the coolant level further ensure I removed all air bubbles?

Probably not, but it can't hurt. A recheck after flush is always a good idea.

I know that tap water was used in my rad. It has calcified material just inside the fins after I remove the cap, I can see it. I wonder if the whole system has calcified/not distilled water in it. When the winter comes, I can't get my interior up to a comfortable temperature. I always have to wear a coat while driving in the winter months.

Won't a proper flush get rid of any of that "calcification"??

Yes, I believe it will. I was considering getting some type of solvent to add to the rad to flush out the calcium buildup.

Yeah I would use that super flush stuff from Prestone

I was doing pm on my wife's Camry @93000 miles. We're going on a summer trip and I want to keep this car in good shape. Toyota of Temecula valley was 229 for the tranny flush and 80 for the coolant. I called Eastman (best service and nicest people I gave ever dealt with) I paid 230 for the tranny, coolant and new radiator cap. I think the coolant was only 50ish
