Debating selling the 4Runner, what are the value of these?

So I have an '87 Turbo 4Runner that is fully loaded. It is really hard to gauge the value of these. I have been finding them selling at all price points, but none like mine.

It is Turbo (automatic of course) and seems to have every option checked. Sunroof, power everything, digital dash, altimeter/inclinometer, and even a rear heater in the center console. Interior is in okay shape, seats and carpets look good. Floormats are a bit worn. Dash has the typical crack in it, but it isn't anything too crazy. Body is mostly straight, but it was rear ended and the previous owner replaced the tailgate and window with a non-defrosted unit and never replaced the rear bumper.

Looks like a nice truck. Forget market value. Does it run well? If so, keep it, UNLESS YOU CAN FIND MANUAL TRANSMISSION ONE, or have money for an upgrade.

They never made Manual transmission Turbo 4Runners in the US, only trucks and to be honest, I don't want a manual transmission. Part of the reason I got it was for a SUV with a slush box. I have a 6 Speed G35 and I enjoy driving this a lot more. It runs pretty well, but all the upgrades I want to do will be quite costly (Stand alone ECU and put a modern GT25 turbo on it).

Value is determined by it's overall condition and if everything works. Snap a few interior shots. Their aren't many turbo runners around. I'd heard only 1% of the 1986 -87 runners produced were turbos. Not sure if that's true though. I out grew the manuals and prefer the automatics as well, but in my case it's probably just old age.

PS: Probably worth about $500.00... when should I stop by and pick it up? :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

That truck is super rare the percentage is about 0.35% of all USA,Canada and Mexico imported Toyota 4Runners.

I'm selling a running 22RET engine right now for two grand on eBay and just the engines worth that

It's worth what someone will pay.

this is true for the hundreds of thousands of cars that are for sale currently.

Put a price on it, and come down until it sells. Then you will know how much it is worth.

no one here can tell you what it is worth, there are too many variables.

There was one for sale down here in FL last year for $4500 in similar condition. You should get at least that price, if you're not in a rush to sell. Maybe, you can consider listing it on eBay with reserved price to see how much it fetches.

22RTE 4Runner came with only A/T from the factory, unlike the pickup truck which was also offered with manual.

I passed up one in similar body/paint condition about a year ago that was $2,800. Yes it was the turbo and it had all options. But the guy did say it needed some motor work (still ran & drove) nothing major suposidy. Don't know exactly what it needed. I decided not to pursue/buy it because I had just recently put $4500+ into my motor. So I didn't want to not be able to use the brand new motor.

In some ways I wish I had bought it because I would much more prefer the automatic.

Location is a huge play in it a clean one like that here in PA would go for probably go for 5 or 6 grand. But in the southern states where they don't use this evil salt on the roads and there more common probably less. I'd say look around and see what people are paying for them around your location.

Was glad to see a clean one in Marin County, CA...

Too bad Toyota only made automatics, negated the power gains that the turbo provided....

Some say they only came in the 86-87 turbo trucks but I am driven 5 speed turbo 4runners. They came in other trucks, usually overseas. Hard to find but it actually makes the turbo come to life instead of sucking the life out of that little CT20
