I agree I'm sure everyone has plenty going on this month with the holidays and all of its madness. Push it back til your available and roll with your planned trail run.
 
If Al can't make it any of the weekends coming up we could always save Anza for next month if its better for him and do a different trail this month.

I know a few trails in Anza fairly well, what I don't know is how they connect with each other. Mostly the southern stuff around Ocotillo.

My big problem is that my wife is out of town that weekend so I'll have a 3 year old and a 9 month old by myself (maybe I can rope my brother into it). They're fine with the trip but they make me go slow and if the 9 month old is cranky I may leave early.

I'd love to see Al's planned route. I live down here so it is really close. If anyone has a GPS route already loaded that's even better.

I don't mind coordinating with other members. It's been so long since I've been wheeling that I'll probably go anyways. Maybe I'll get a buddy and hit up corral canyon if we don't do Anza, but the weather here is perfect right now.

I definitely appreciate the offer, but we'll probably do a different area. I'm pretty sure snow is sticking if we want to go back up to the mountains. It's been a while, but we can do Cleghorn or Pilot rock to get our kids/trucks in some snow. @GVL is the snow holding?
 
I may be able to make this, depending on the weekend. It's kind of a far drive so I would like to camp but I don't have much gear.

I have subscribed and will let you know if I am for sure in.

I won't be able to make it, so if you need some gear let me know. I have a 2 man tent, 7 man tent, 4 sleeping bags (although they're kind of cheap) 2 cots (that won't fit in the 2 man tent) Ice chests, camping stove. You name it.

Dang! That's a lot of stuff. I appreciate the offer, I will let you know if I need to borrow anything. I am slowly stocking up camping gear and have a few more things on my Christmas list, lol.

Im down for whatever...snow would be fun and I wouldn't mind Bear again, but any trail that we can get a leader for is fine with me.

I've been camping for years, you tend to stock pile stuff depending on the situation. I need to start working on replacing older things (such as the sleeping bags) now that I'm going to be getting out and about more. The cots I literally just bought last week as a test while we were road tripping. My son slept on one, I didn't though.

Somehow I stopped getting notifications from this thread. That sounds great. I'd love to play in the snow. Still on for this coming weekend?
 
Well, currently, unless @GVL wants to lead a snow run, we can do the desert run that we did for the weekday run recon last week. A Red Canyon run would have us meet up at Love's truck stop in Indio. Hopefully we'll have something solid by today or tomorrow.
 
In the absence of any consensus, we will have a Red Canyon run Saturday. First post updated, [MENTION=117408]Oneluv13T4R[/MENTION], check it out and let me know if I've missed anything.

Sounds good looks good ...Another interesting trail there is Painted Canyon which goes to and through "Ladder Canyon" a historical all ages fun adventure out there as well . Look it up and check out. It maybe something the whole group or partial mighht wanna check out after the run since your already out for the day in that area. Something you wouldn't wanna miss if you've never been there trippy place. Just a thought
