December 2015 Meet and Trail Run

Oh man, somehow I missed this thread. We might get some fresh up here tomorrow and would love to lead a GVL snow run, but sounds like you got the desert picked for this one - I'm always up for a snow drive so just hit me up if you want to blaze some cool trails - I go out for a little cruise pretty much every day so I'm ready.

Unfortunately I'm super out now, I have to make an emergency trip up to Bakersfield this weekend. Enjoy the trip.

I hope you atleast take the back roads to Baker to make a trail run of it take some photos, some go pro action then post a trail run report Backroads to Baker adventure.

I've got a back road in mind from Bakersfield into kernville. Depends on if it's open after the rain and snow they got. My son's grandfather (ex's dad) is in the hospital so we're headed up to visit, but my ex wants some time with him and she's staying at her dad's house in lake isabella so I'm trying to make an off road trip out of it to get there.

Right on man, well I hope you make the best of the situation and get yourself some trail time, My grandma lived in lake Isabella for the last 30 years theres tons of trails. Best of luck

Well, [MENTION=117408]Oneluv13T4R[/MENTION] and I had a great meet LOL. We ended up scoping out Red Cloud Road and going as far as we could before finding the trail to be washed out. Between the trails, hiking, and my dog getting covered in prickly pears (pulling them out was a motherf%$#&!), I'd say we had quite the adventure.

This road near Crystal Springs Canyon was washed out, forcing us to turn around and head back. By the time we got unstuck and turned around, the sun was setting on us. The ride back to I-10 was smooth.
