Decided on pizza cutters! But not quite..

Looks like I’ll be going either 255/75/17 or 255/80/ 17 I’ve read numerous threads but nothing truly helping me decide... leaning more towards the 285, just because taller but I do not want to BMC, I don’t mind minor trimming but not metal cutting or welding! Will be throwing in a minor lift in next few weeks... Please chime in if you have either and what was needed to fit!! Looking to use my stock 2013 trail wheels with or without 1.25” spacers ... also
Post pics if you can and if the spacers would

255/75/17, no lift, no rubbing. Went this route because I did not want to go to an E load tire for this tire at 255/80, and did not want to do a lift yet. Also, having run different sized tires on my 3rd gen and tundra, in most cases, the 255/265/275/285 performance difference is marginal for most people.

curious if anyone has pics of 255/75/17 with a 2" lift

personally i'd take the pizza cutters over a fat wheel, but that's because i see more snow than sand and it's not uncharted trail snow where a big fat tire will help float
 
Also if it matters looking at either the cooper discoverer at3 or the Yokohama geolandar at g015s... ����

So how's the wheeling there in Fangorn Forest?
 
My next set will be 255/75/17. I was about to pull the trigger on them a few weeks ago, but got too good of a deal on some OEM size tires. Skinnies offer everything I was looking for- a little extra height, no more weight than OEM and great snow/winter weather traction.
 
I ain't the best at loading pictures but I have a 255/75/17 BFG AT2 with a 2'' OME lift in front and 1.5'' Eibach lift in the rear. I have it on a wheel that gives me -10 offset so it bumps it out more. Even with the lift, I had to trim a little of the inner fender to clear space for the wheel to not rub at full rotation.

I like the 255/75/17 because of the rolling speed, ease in finding a full sized spare (Jeeps have this as stock size), and gas mileage with a C tire rating. 255/80 are a unique size and are harder to find a replacement without special ordering.

I would probably go 285/70/17 in the future mainly because my work commute has decreased dramatically and have another vehicle for family road trips. They would probably not offer much of a functional improvement and are more of a cosmetic preference.

Why, pray tell, are these tires called “Pizza Cutters” or what pray tell, is a “Pizza Cutter” if it’s not the tires?
 
Narrower size over stock gives it a thinner and taller look works well in getting more digging grip and a cushier ride
It make the wheel package look like a metal pizza cutting disc

Is this something you run?! Any modifications needed? You have a lift ? GOT ANY PICS?? What you think of the cooper discoverer at vs Yokohama geolandar At?

Good! What brand you got ? What you think of the cooper discoverer at or the Yokohama geolandar at?
