Deedst4r build thread.

I finally got around to making one of these. Here goes!

So I am making this build thread to keep track of all my mods. I know my 4runner isn't much but I thought I'd share anyways. I got my 4runner in July of 2011 with 49K miles on the clock. It has around 68K miles now and I have loved every single one of them. My T4R isn't very impressive (yet) but I love it and hope that some of you will have some advice/comments for me! Thanks for looking!

So I will start here. This is the only original picture I have of my 4runner.

The first mod I did was a 35% tint on the front two windows.

Next came the sound system. I got a kicker 12 inch sub with a 500 watt crunch amp.

Next came time for new tires. I went with 265/70/17 Cooper discoverer AT3's.

After the tires came a CB / PA system.

After this I plasti-dipped the front grille. I do not have any pictures from the process but here you can see the final result.

Next came the 'TRD off road' stickers. These are not super noticeable but I love their look.

My last and most recent mod is LED license plate lights. They were recommended to my by a member (jaybird i believe) and I love them.

Soon to come will be a satoshi grille, daystar lift, spidertraxx, and much more. Let me know what you think! Thanks for looking!

Very nice! Congrats on having enough mods to start a thread. Bet you can't wait to lift! Love those tires and can't wait to get them on my 4r.

It was bought from the Norcross Carmax.

I almost bought mine there but they didn't have one I could afford so I didn't bother with them.... Then a few months later I drove down to the Stockbridge CarMax and had them transfer my 03... I should have bought from the Norcross location because it isn't a 80 mile round trip from my house!

thanks for the shout out man! your rig is looking great, and those lights definitely turned out well. IMO spidertrax are one of the best mods you can do! Check into all pro, they also make a 1.25 and even a 1.5" spacer, and i'm pretty sure they run a lot less $ than spidertrax. Good luck in future modding endeavors:guitar3:

Yeah Joe, for a stock 4runner yours is really good looking. Like I said, that color looks awesome and I really liked how you did the plasti-dip on the grille. Can't wait to see it lifted for sure!! Rock on bro :surfer:

Thanks Jack! I am looking forward to getting her in the air! We will have to go wheeling sometime soon.

Thanks man, can you post some pictures of how it mounts. I have my Firestik on the roof and damn near broke it off on my last wheeling trip.

I just took a quick picture. I hope this shows enough for you.

I love that blue on the 4Runner... my favorite color. It's looking great so far. Here's my question... how do you like your Coopers? I'm debating about getting a set of Cooper Discoverer ATP's in the 285 flavor this fall. Yours look like the ATS and not sure how much difference there is with them.
