Defiant M.I.A. - this a possible alternative?

Once again my procrastination leads me nowhere - Defiant is gone (until?). so, now im out searching for an alternative besides Westin.
This is what I found:

Maybe someone else has worked with these folks, if so chime in on quality, fitment. (BTW- is $475 really a "steal" for this??)
Ultimately, Shrock bumper will replace, but for now this will need to do.

Interesting that Defiant is down.. everyone seemed to always have good experiences with them (Paul). Personally I like the Winter setup better, but it does involves cutting the lower grille and they always were a decent bit more expensive than Defiant.

Honestly, I would simply save a month or two more and go right to the Shrockworks if that's your end goal.

Well, my cardinal sin was not to search properly on Wintersports. There are a few forum posts in regards.
Good to read (Okki) that someone else thought price point was a little o the high side.
Okki your point is made and taken - price to spend is 1/3-1/4 of what I will be spending for the bumper. I'll just use the extra jing to buy a winch as part of a package.
Nevertheless, for someone looking - a plug for WinterMS. Another alternative for your T4R.

That's a bit crazy at $475. For a cheap stop-gap, I'd probably consider one of those cheapy $100 bull bars before I'd do that, but agree with others... might as well go big instead of waste money if that's in the plans anyway. Of course, shrockworks is going to be a bit of a wait. How patient are ya? :frog:

Just be patient and put the money away for a proper front bumper.

Really makes no sense to me just to spend that much money to mount some lights. Just do what deekoi did for his front mounted LED. It looks better in my opinion.

Looks clean, but, just as counterproductive as WinterMS. Shrockworks, Ill place order for and wait. Heck the cost of the LED bar will almost cover cost of bumper.
Nevertheless, looks smooth.

Paul Fox at Defiant

I will send you his email addres when I can tomorrow. I emailed him twice last week and he returned my email both times within 24 hrs. You may be able to find his email address online. I wasn't trying to buy anything.....just wanted some directions. It took me 1 hour to install my Defiant light bar and it's very nice and sturdy.
