delay in washer fluid spraying

This is silly, but wanting to confirm something. I have a 2016 TEP. When I try to use the front windshield washer, there is a few seconds delay before the fluid starts coming out. In contrast, the rear is immediate. I'm not sure how that could be, unless something happened to the front lines allowing the fluid to revert back into the main reservoir, and yet the fluid stays in the line for the rear.

I swear this delay did not exist when new. Can somebody check and confirm I'm not crazy?

Sorry for the stupid question, but for some reason this is annoying me. First world problems...

Yeesh. The guy was asking an honest question. And crazy as it sounds, it CAN actually be annoying - here's why: where I live, in the Spring it's windy and incredibly dusty. Like the Utah and AZ deserts are blowing into SW Colorado. And the sh!t is incredibly abrasive.

I've had two windshields get pretty badly scratched up over time, because there's a fine coating of dust on everything, and your windshield wipers make a pass and a half before the freaking washer fluid makes it to the windshield.

To the OP's question, I'm pretty sure my 2017 Runner has a pretty noticeable delay, but I'll have to check later.

cant tell if he is joking. nevertheless, the reservoir has two pumps one of which is higher than the other so if you're getting low on fluid, the lower pump is going to have a full supply while the top will be sucking up what little it can causing a delay. this would be my guess if it is a "sudden" change.

check the reservoir. change the front pump to the lower position and you should be good...until you are completely out of fluid :sobbing:
