That also happened to be one of the questions I repeatedly asked Paul, without calling him names, that he dodged and never answered.

I believe he acknowledged he was incorrect in post 133 of this thread, just like Waddle5 acknowledged and apologized that he was incorrect about something in post 123 of this thread.

Only difference is I mispoke about this thread and what was previously written(about yet another argument that didn't pertain to the initial case in discussion), whereas he completely dismissed facts of the initial thread to try and prove his point.

Can all of you PLEASE get back to working on posting the cool, quality posts that attracted me to this forum in the first place? You know, about your awesome rigs and how you got them that way and how much you love 4runners?

This thread now needs to just die a natural death. Many of you ought to reflect on the wasted time and energy you have put into this subject, and how you have helped run this thread straight past the ground and into the bottom of the cesspool under the outhouse.

I mean, take a breath, and read the trash of these last few pages. Shame on you. You all are better than this. Put down your keyboards, get outside on a trail in your rigs, and do NOT come back until you don't care about this any more and can once again contribute something positive to t4r.org.

We all get how you feel now. Hell, we got it after page three. Any more is just making you all look ridiculous.

Agenda? You are a GOBI reseller. Do legitimate random people(public) who stumble across these threads not see it as ironic that the only people sticking up for this company and negating the evidence and actions of the company are in some way affiliated with the actual company. In regards to being upfront I laugh, because I posted my response at the same time as momo. You are interested in selling gobi products and you are soley in defense of them as you are a wholeseller for them. As I previously mentioned(which you ignored) the only people justifying the actions of Gobi and disregarding their horrible display of character and actions are correlated with Gobi.

You're right. . he didn't initially ask he did just deleted the thread on his own? Once called out for that it was deemed to undelete it and lock it(which is fine)

It’s honestly crazy how much misinformation is in these threads now. Forum member’s claiming other members are working for GOBI, members claiming I work for GOBI, then claiming I’m trying to sell GOBI, people quoting the wrong post and then answering them out of context, people claiming proof of stuff that never happened or is entirely irrelevant and the list goes on.

I’ve been very upfront. I asked that I and my company remain nameless and I clearly said what my relationship with GOBI is all about. I used a good non burner gmail to sign up here that is my full name @gmail.com and said I will confirm to any mod exactly who I am if they wanted to know. That’s was done not because I need to hide, I could care less if you’ll know who I am, I did it so I wasn’t accused to trying to garner sales here. Pointless, since a mod made it all public anyway and I actually have been accused of trying to gain sales, ironic huh?

For the record, 4runner sales are not my focus, never have been I’ve sponsored exactly zero Toyota forums to date. I have never done a 4Runner GOBI group buy. Actually I've only done a single GOBI group buy and that was for Xterra racks, I don't like them and can discount to about the same price 365 days a year individually which is far less hassle. I just looked and I’ve sold about 60 4runner racks in the last 4 years compared to over 1000 Jeep JK GOBI racks. It's not that I don't like Toyota's, I happen to be an avid Jeep owner, I know Jeep stuff and do a better job of selling things I actually use myself if that makes any sense.

GOBI are suing WMW, its public information, nothing has been hidden. People keep saying GOBI should have called WMW first. I won’t be rude but that’s just not how this works and if you don’t know why you should ask a lawyer or something. GOBI feels their design and utility patents were being infringed and they are suing that company, period. Having a negative opinion about that is fine, vent away this is apparently a pretty open forum (as they should be), however, expect some push back on misinformation or veiled death threat emails.

Of course GOBI won’t answer direct questions about evidence and where the case is, no company with pending litigation shows their hand or comments directly about the case. Paul did try to toss an olive branch in the very beginning to try to get the negativity under control, probably a mistake and I’m pretty sure the next time he talks about this publicly (if ever) will on a witness stand.

One fake account does exist, it was created by a GOBI employee trying to stick up for her boss when people were calling them names. It was a mistake, GOBI owners are big boys and girls and can handle this, and they know exactly what they are doing and what the repercussions may or may not be.

I’ve been accused multiple times of avoiding answering questions. To be honest I’ve read some posts that I literally couldn’t figure out if there was an actual question or if they were just commenting. If there is something I missed feel free to ask publicly or via a PM and I’ll do my best to answer

Sorry for the long post but in summary, what exactly do you guys think hasn’t been answered? I understand some people don’t like the answers given as is always the case with these type of issues.

At this point this thread has run its course, unraveled, and has become a bed of discourse.

The argument has left the original subject, which I think was very constructive (once a few posts were weeded out) but we are clearly past that.

For the record, I am a Social Worker in Seattle, WA. Take my nickname on this thread, google it, and it will no doubt lead to all the private information you need on me to verify that.

I have never been involved with either company being discussed here. Never bought anything from either company, nor have I sold anything from either company. In fact, until I ran across the old thread, I had never even heard of either company.

A roof rack is in my plans as we upgrade our rig over the next two years. When that time comes, I will look at whatever is available at that time that I can afford. Maybe I will buy from one of these two companies if I can, maybe I won't.

One thing is for absolute certain. Your childish, instant, ridiculous reaction that my post must have been written by someone associated with Gobi only proved what I said in my post. This thread needs to die now, it has reached a point of stupidity beyond belief. You only managed by your ridiculous accusation to show yourself to be a poster boy for who and what I was talking about.

Now, go outside and play. You will feel better.

You do got an awesome camping trailer though. I do have to grant you that. Very nice camper.

I am as guilty as anybody about the bickering that has gone on in this thread. All facts have been hashed out so you can accept them or ignore them as you will. All accusations have been thrown out there so the same applies with those. This thread can remain open but at the first sign of any type of back and forth it will be locked down. I am sure some people will try to come on and throw jabs in hopes of having it locked down which will result in infractions. If anybody does do this, just ignore them and contact one of the mods. Actually you should call a lawyer dude. We've already had a few people speak up who claim to have a legal background and the consensus was that it is unusual for this type of lawsuit to be filed without ever contacting them directly first.

Also the fact that Paul and Co keep referring to the LAWSUIT as a mere complaint is also dishonest. It is a lawsuit with a court date, not a complaint or something that can be solved over coffee.

The impression is that Gobi went to Nuclear War with WMW over product that is vaguely similar to a patent they have. WMW makes these racks at his house so yes it looks bad the way this played out.
