Not at all. I'm 72 with a pair of new knees. My other ride is a Shelby GT that sits 1 1/2" lower than a stock Mustang. The 4-Runner is much easier to get in and out of than the Shelby! You're still a pup, go for it!

I'm a 64-year-old male, who's always driven sedans. I'm 6'4" and could no longer "Scoot" down into the sedans, in one motion. I started looking at SUVs that would allow easy entry into the driver's seat. My wife and mother have driven Toyota Camry's for years and I've driven Mercedes Benz for years. However, after driving several brand name luxury SUVs, I settled on the 2024 4Runner Limited Trim. Luxury SUVs drive like cars, which didn't excite me or is fun. The 4Runner is fun to drive, reliable, durable and sensible. This is a real automobile. Can anyone name an "Old School" SUV that's guaranteed to last with proper care? Other than the gas mileage, I believe the long-term cost of ownership more than justifies the investment. I enjoy driving the 4Runner.

The 4Runners (2014 SR5 and 2023 ORP) are my wife’s, so I’ll answer for both of us.
Wife is 78 and a retired corporate bankruptcy attorney. I am 62 and still work as a wholesale credit specialist for the Federal Reserve.
We have homes in Fullerton and Big Bear Lake, California, plus a ranch in Stevensville, Montana. My wife pounds out the miles between Southern California and Montana while I pay the fuel bills and chase the vehicle maintenance.
My other cars included an ‘05 Honda Accord 2.4L w/ 5 spd manual, plus ‘94 and ‘99 K2500 Suburbans w/ 6.5 diesels. I do all the work on all the vehicles and am thankful for the 4Runners as they have little in the way of repairs.

Turning 32 soon. Bought my 2023 4Runner new at age 30. Third 4Runner, had an '87 that I bought at age 18, and much later a '99 that after a few years replaced with the 2023.
Irrelevant, but I should have the 2023 paid off in the next six months.
