Our family has had good luck with Jeeps...1994 ZJ, 2000 XJ, 2004 WJ, 2004 TJ, 2009 JK, 2012 JK. Only major repair was an AC leak on the ZJ after 10 years. I still have the JK since life is short and a convertible doorless 4x4 is tough to match in the summer.
Love the stock 4R as it's a great daily driver, fits everything on long haul trips and gets off road when we roam off pavement. Plan on owning this 4R for many years.

I WANT to like Jeep, I really do... I owned an 05' JGC Limited with 5.7 and QDII. Until Jeep gets serious about reliability/longevity/fit and finish, I can't do that...
Done are my days of overlooking those things and then either suffering from them or losing my butt on trade trying to get out of a lemon.

Loved my Rubicons. Problem is, they make shitty daily drivers. That and you have to sink and insane amount of money into them. Cant wait to build my 4runner. Will be my first Yota!

My favorite part of that video is the comments on the FB page. Talk about a bunch of guys who stroke their egos using nothing but their Jeeps. Lol.
I am replacing my 2000 XJ with a 2016 TEP as we speak and could not be happier. The XJ was a great rig, drove the thing forever (206k miles) and because I have taken good care of it the thing is still in great shape and very capable. With that being said I could never bring myself to buy a new one, the Wrangler is just not enough vehicle for what they cost anymore. I test drove a few and they were only ok in my book. My mom drives a 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland and that thing is such a mixed bag, nice interior and decent ride but it has had so many problems.

You won't have this problem with the 4Runner...
No one on this forum sinks anything into their 'Runners. They are just AWESOME as they come from the factory! :lmao:

I never put any money into my old 2010 Rubicon and it still kicked ass on the trails. After I sold it to my brother the engine died though.
Will never buy another Jeep until they fix their reliability problems. I've never seen another vehicle get towed so many times in one year.

I had my battery die on me sometime last year with no warning and luckily I was only parked in my driveway and not out in the boonies. Otherwise, I would've been S.O.L.
Honestly, it didn't have any other major problems itself, but between that incident, the stealership service experience and the overall feeling of owning a Fiat/Jeep/Chrysler didn't sit too well with me long term.
I have no regrets. :dance:

To be honest I loved it but only owned it for about 20K miles.
I wish Toyota would have went more Wrangler-ish (read SOFT TOP available) with the FJ Cruiser. I think they would have hit it out of the park.
And a soft top could only improve the FJ's abysmal rear visibility. ;-) (Source: me. My ex owned one and the rear visibility was horrendous).

Keep wanting to buy a Jeep but im afraid of Chrysler reliability. Would have been awesome if Toyota bought them instead of Fiat.
Why don't you get another Wrangler? What package would you get?
