Discount Tire Direct Sale on E-Bay!

just grabbed 4 Duratracs in 265-75-16 for 676, and no tax charged to michigan. theres also a $40 rebate from goodyear, so thats 626. not bad
used paypal credit, discount worked once

Are you saying you put in 2 different orders, 2 tires in each order, and the second time around the discount did not work?

sounds like you cannot get a discount with two orders, I did one order, for 4 total tires, price was 776. so 776-100=676-$40 rebate=636

math was wrong earlier, 636 is final

I'd be curious to hear if Discount fixed this trick.

Let's be clear; generally speaking, the tires on their eBay store come in singles, sets of 2, and sets of 4. When I was looking at Duratracs last year, I was able to do two of the coupons because I had two sets of two tires.

That said, I got all the way to the final pricing, and I called my local Discount stores to ask if they'd match. The first one hemmed, hawed, and basically said no. I thanked him for his time and said I'd be calling around. Second store I tried didn't even bat an eye and said no problem.

So, you could always give that a shot too!

Just ordered 4 285/70/17 bfg all terrains. Came to a total of $414x2, so 828!!!

I found an ad for 2 of them. Processed one order through my Ebay account, and then proceeded a second one through my wifes old Ebay account. Used the same paypal for both. Didn't seem to have an issue with it (once I realized i had to pay with paypal).

:reddance:

Im torn, do I wait for the Amazon sale to hopefully score a set 285/75/16 E BFG AT2's for 500?

Or do I get the 285/75/16 D General Grabber AT2's now for 600?

I think the D load range would be better but the grabbers are super heavy even compared to most E rated tires. Also is it worth taking the risk that this Amazon sale might not happen?

I was planning on getting my tires, rims, and lift this summer, but now I need to find out what tires and rims to get so I can get the deal... theres too many options

Just pulled the trigger on 2 sets of 2, 285 Duratrac's! Heck yeah!

I was looking at other tires, and was gonna go with the new BFG KO2, but they didn't offer it in this sale in the right size. Couldn't pass the amazing price on the Duratrac's, and I have had them on other rigs before and been happy, soooo....

PS, Thanks Scramble for posting this sale and saving me a couple hundred bucks! You da man! :humble:

Is the issue the coupon doesn't work twice if you use paypal credit, but works twice if you just use regular paypal?

If anyone is interested tire rack has the original BFG mud terrains in only one size and that's the rubicon jeep tire 255/75/17 for $138

Is it just me or did they used to make the Duratracs in 285/75/16 load range D it seems they only have E now?

You're welcome. Last year I wasn't going to buy tires until the summer but someone posted this sale & I couldn't resist. I figured I'd return the favor & help empty out people's wallets. :bounce:

i was able to get the discount tire deal.

used coupon code twice, two separate purchases, same paypal account.

255 80 17 cooper st maxx :target:

Codes worked for me too, I placed 2 seperate orders. Both got bfg ko2's, when I did the first one I waited until I got the notification that it was sent and did the 2nd order. Now PayPal will come up and say you paid the regular price but you'll just have to check the purchase details and you'll see that you paid the discounted price.

I got myself 4 bfgoodrich ko'2 in 275/70/17

I saved $280, 100 from every discount code plus the tires are $42 cheaper then tire rack, do my total came to $684, I was originally looking for general grabbers for $588 after the code but the bfg were too good to pass up, now hopefully they show up so I can get them muddy

First of all, I'd like to thank Scramble for alerting the forum to this DTD tire offer. I used it to order four 265/70-16 Cooper Discoverer AT/3's for my '99 Runner. Everything went super-smoothly, and I thought I'd give a short report on what happened.

I'm in California. I ordered my tires on March 4. The total 'list' price was $536, then with the $100 discounted netted a total of $436 charged to my Paypal CC. Since DTD is in Arizona, buying thru them saved me the +8% CA sales tax I would have paid if I'd bought locally. (Or from Amazon. On Amazon, those tires were priced at $143.95, with free Prime shipping, but the CA sales tax would have applied.)

The UPS truck pulled up and delivered the tires on March 9; the driver also commented how a lot of people were buying tires online.

Part of the reason I purchased from DTD is because I wanted to buy from a 'volume' dealer, and avoid the possibility that I'd be shipped tires that may have been sitting on a shelf for several years. The tires I received are dated as '4215', which I believe they were manufactured in the 42nd week of 2015, or sometime around October. That qualifies as 'fresh' to me.

On the DTD website, they listed America's Tire as their official installers. It just so happens that we have an AT in my town, so I gave them a call. I'd never worked with them before, but when I called I found out that AT and DTD are sister companies. That meant that even though I was hauling in the tires myself, I would get the same installation price as if I had bought them from AT.

I made an appointment, and had the tires installed on March 10. Total price was $74.77, which included installation, new valves, balancing, and old tire disposal.

As I sat in the waiting room, I saw that making an appointment is the way to go. When walk-ins entered the store, they were told that appointments had priority and they'd be fitted into the schedule when slots became available. I also overheard several phone calls with people apparently asking about specific tires. Those tires were almost always 'out of stock', which made me glad I'd ordered exactly the tires I'd wanted online, and then brought those tires in for installation.

All in all, the entire process went absolutely smoothly. No problem with the tires, or DTD, or ebay. And, AT seemed to be a good company to work with.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

When I first placed my tire order, I was only thinking in terms of the $100 rebate and getting the Coopers. Once I'd placed that order, I found myself at the Cooper company website looking for tire pressure info -- where I saw that Cooper itself was offering what appeared to be an ADDITIONAL $70 rebate.

Why not give it a try?

So, I filled out the forms, and submitted the rebate online along with a scan of the receipt I'd received with the tires from DTD. For the last few days, I've been going back to the site to check on the rebate status, and was only seeing 'approval awaiting verification'. Over the years I've had enough problems with rebates to be wary of the whole process, but still it looked like everything was on track for the $70.

Then today March 14, on techbargains.com, I saw a listing for what looked like the same DTD $100 discount, but with some added links to PDF forms which stated they needed to be mailed in to qualify for the rebate. (Link to the TB listing: eBay Coupon Code $100 off Discount Tires Direct Orders $400+ - Techbargains) This got my attention, and since at the bottom of the downloaded PDF was a phone number (1-844-684-7218), I picked up the phone and dialed. The number connects with the company handling the rebate, not Cooper Tire itself. When I got ahold of the rep, she confirmed that since I had submitted online, that I did NOT also need to mail in any additional forms. I then gave her the confirmation number I'd received when I submitted online, she looked it up on her computer, and after a few seconds she said everything was in order and approved my $70 rebate. She said it would take 6 - 8 weeks before a white envelope with 'Citibank' would show up in my mailbox with the $70 debit card.

Bottom line: I got a great set of 'fresh' tires for $366 total, plus a deal on installation. I'm happy with that.

Just noticed that HERE'S_JOHNNY deleted all the posts about the Amazon sale, I am assuming that means its not going to happen.

Hope no one is going to get screwed waiting for this mystical cheap MTR's for everyone in any size unicorn sale. Inv4drZm, HappyTrails, Unner
