I recently installed a 1819 unit, would these buttons work with that unit? Can i buy those buttons? I have a 07 SR5 non jbl.

Like I mentioned before, you need to get a PAC module to connect to the back of the headunit to be able to use the steering wheel controls. As far as it being a nonJBL, I don't believe that has anything to do with it (steering wheel functions).

I don't know about the Scion headunit, but the buttons work great on my non-JBL Sport Edition with a JVC headunit and the PAC-RI. Being able to control the phone from the steering wheel is a nice feature.

I received the right side cluster (84244-35030-bo) in the mail last week and they look like they have a different finish then the left side buttons I already have. The right side cluster seems to have a matte finish whereas the left side seem to be more glossy/shiny. I am wondering if there are different finishes you can order or if the left side controls are just 'worn'
(2004 4runner SE)?

I'm willing to bet that your left controls are just worn. The only differences in buttons are the colors, the textures of the buttons (I've seen them all....... 4Runners/GX/LandCruisers) are the same.

Realize your rig is 11 years old and 11 years worth of touching/rubbing is going to have some affect on them. About a year ago, I changed steering wheels on my 07Civic. I have an EX sedan and got an Si wheel. The buttons seemed to be "shiny". Finger oils/untold "Armor All"/UV exposure/etc etc. I don't notice it now.

Great writeup! Now where can I order the buttons and ribbon from? My local dealer is a dud and can never find anything I come in looking for with a part number...

Also if I get a new CarPlay Pioneer unit then this bluetooth button should be able to activate Siri?

partznet.com. Local dealers are usually worthless.

Not 100% sure on Siri, but I thought I heard it does, but NOT through the steering wheel buttons, in another words, Siri DOES work when connected via BT if that answers your question.............

I think I may have order the wrong color then. I order the -BO which is grey when I think I needed to get the -B1 which is Dark Charcoal... :redbrick:

I did the research for you. I asked the dealership about the color.
They told me that the last two alphabets are color codes.
So 'B0' color code is for the Grey and the Dark Charcoal is 'B1'
Your part number should read
'84244-35030-B1’

I understand your frustration. I am quite sure you need the part number ending with B1.
My advice is (what I did too because I was also not sure about the color) I went to the dealership, the parts guy came down to my Truck and read the plate on the driver’s side and then looked in his computer and told me the part I need is the part number ending with B0. And I ordered the part from the dealership along with the Ribbon.
Now you decide which way you want to take. Good luck.

I bought my buttons so long ago, I don't remember the exact part number, but yes as many have mentioned, use the DARK GREY.

Thank you sir! Remember it's technically ONE wire you connect to the amp, but in reality you are running another one which will not get connected to anything. I can't remember exactly why, but it's a detail some get wrong. Anyway, don't forget to "shield" it. :thumb:

Having just done this twice in the past three days, I believe the airbag bolts are Torx 30. Otherwise, good write up!

so which one is it, B0 or B1?! i picked up an e7009 today and would like to install the BT options.

Also, what are y'all using for a mic? i think i would like to go aftermarket due to better sound quality (so i've read) and cheaper. trying to keep this as OEM looking as possible.
