Wow. I'm an abnormally patient person, but that's a long wait. We're you part of a group buy? I missed that window, so I ordered outside of it.
Just put mine on Friday, and the forward legs did the same thing. I re-centered the rack (moved it towards the passenger side a little) and now I have about a 1mm gap between the outside of the pad, and the lip on the roof. I also put an additional piece of rubber under the foot and brought it up between the foot and the roof edge to give it some protection as thing flex.
I have also been thinking of moving the bottom part of the leg to the inside of the support leg. This would move it in another mm or so, but the threaded part of the bolts would stick out.

There's a little packet of anti seize included in one of the bags. I only put it on the screws that went directly into the roof though. I'll probably by a tube and put it in the other screws as well.

Interesting. That's makes sense they would stress the use of anti-seize and then include a packet. I didn't get one though, and I opened up all the baggies and packages for the ladder, rack, ARB mounts, etc to check. I went out and bought a tube last night but it was too little, too late for a couple of nuts / bolts.
Edit: Just got off the phone with Gobi. Explained the issue and not being able to find the anti-seize packet, since I've gone through a number of nuts and bolts already, they're going to ship out another packet of the hardware for the rack. Definitely a thumbs up on customer service.

So after driving back to Toronto from Pennsylvania I noticed that one side of the crossbar on my sunroof insert isn't welded on properly. I don't even know what the yellow stuff is. I'm assuming it came from inside the bar.
The other side is fine.
This is very disappointing since I waited 20+ weeks for my rack. I sent them and email with the pictures so hopefully they send me a new insert to Canada because I can't just up and drive to Pennsylvania because of there oversight.

Appears to be rust. I see the same thing with the NFAB steps I have. The manufacturer told me it was a weep hole but it obviously was a welding f-up.

Got an issue about the ARB bracket from Gobi. The ARB hardware (the bolt) that slides into the tracks, and the nut are small enough to fit between the lower opening in the bracket. WTF!? They charge $120 and bill it for the ARB awning only to force you to jimmy something together?
What are you guys doing to correct the issue? Washers?

I didn't have a problem with mine. (The bolts for my CVT awning fit perfectly.)
Can you post up a picture so we can see exactly what you're talking about..

I'll post a picture later today. In the meantime I called Gobi, they acknowledged the issue with ARB awnings and that the "ARB bracket" is actually a universal bracket for ARB, Tepui, and CVT. The recommendation is to buy some washers wide enough so they don't fall through the lower mount point. Sheesh!
FYI...since it is a known issue, they're planning to include washers with the brackets in the future.

Yeah, 5/14/17 now and no replacement packet received. Sheesh! The person I spoke to must have thought I was asking about my Gobi rack order and gave me the canned "it'll ship within the day" response.
Great post, very helpful. Used it to install my stealth rack and ladder on my 2017 TRD Pro. Studied your steps and photos before the rack arrived and things went smoothly. Some of the parts have changed a little since your original post - the front feet no longer have adhesive pads and the undersurface of the wind deflector is padded now. Used 3m paint protection film under the wind deflector and I think it will protect the paint. Used the marine silicone and thread compound for waterproofing as you suggested. Well worth the extra time. All in all it took about 3.5 hours to install.

I checked my photobucket account...everything seems good and the pics still come up according to several people. I don't use photobucket anymore since they threw in tons of advertising and require you to pay now.

So not I'm several years into using this rack and to date it still works great. No issues whatsoever. And my 4Runner is outside in the elements all the time. No rust spot whatsoever. I've enjoyed it thoroughly!

My rack arrives tomorrow and I’m curious if anyone has installed the stealth rack without using silicone and thread sealer on the roof mounts?
I understand taking extra precautions, but I would think that if Gobi thought water intrusion might be an issue, they would call for silicone and thread sealer in the instructions. The fact that they don’t makes me think this is an unnecessary step.
