Hello, hoping for some help. Can anyone tell me how far apart the pair of bolt holes are on the 5th gen factory roof rack? Trying to determine if the Gamiviti roof channel towers will fit the 5th gen. Thanks.

I do not know that exact answer. However, I have been working with Tim at Gamiviti for the past month spec’ing out a Gamiviti for my 2018 TRD and he intends to mount this using my existing factory rack bolt holes (plus adding to roof towers to
The front for added stability) and he said he has mounted to a fifth gen before so I don’t expect any problems. I should get my rack beginning of March.

Has anyone else used a car wash that has done this rack removal?

Just wondering how tight the caps clip on.

The caps are held by spring tension, they won't come off without the application of force (read as more than a carwash should be applying).

I showed this to the Mrs. and she immediately said get rid of those ugly things. We have talked about the cross rails since we used them on our last vehicle, Xterra but maybe on this one remove them.

I did the same thing but 1- did not drink beer and did not put covers on. I just covered the holes with some gaffer tape and placed and order for a roof rack .

I recently did a roof rack delete, but did it with the Rhino gutter track system so I can quick connect Vortex bars. The great thing is, even if I wanted to add a full rack at some point, I can leave the existing Rhino track in place as well.

From stock to no rack you will see no significant change.

I think the 120 series Gamiviti roof channel tower will fit 5th gen, and looks like it will fit GX460 / 470 as well.

My rack is ready for install. Traveling to Denver 4/22 for install.
