He shows that. He used a cross bar supported on logs. I did something similar. It really doesn't try very hard to pivot down. It also doesn't sag very far if you have no support at all, if you support the engine more towards the rear, as I did.

How about a vid on redoing the rear main seal. I have the perfect donor vehicle for you. Bishop, CA has some pretty sweet spots to check out on your long weekend. lol
 
I second the injector video.

And lately I've be wondering about wheel bearings but haven't researched it yet.

I pretty much tune in for all your videos when I see them pop up. Specific videos I think would be interesting are...


1. Methods for troubleshooting & fixing various check engine light codes.

2. +1 on the timing belt/water pump replacement vid.

3. Rear axle seal replacement (there are good write ups but a video would be cool too).

4. CV axle reboot &/or replacement

5. Sound deadening

6. Engine removal/replacement?

7. Auto transmission removal/replacement?


Very cool asking for video suggestions.

CV axle reboot and replacement is coming soon. [MENTION=102606]infamousRNR[/MENTION] is in need for this repair.

I'd love to do an rear axle seal replacement for someone in my area. It would give me a reason to buy a press and redeem myself for getting bent over at my local Toyota dealership when I paid for this job on my own rig.

Check engine code diagnosis would be cool but it might be a little involved since every check engine code can have various causes.

I have everything I think I need at this point but a tranny jack. I'm gonna go the BlueDevil route first to see if that helps at all. The bottle was 15 bucks and it's worth a shot. It's not a huge leak at this point so I'm not super worried about it.

Any houses for sale in your neighborhood? I may have to be your neighbor to help you out with your 3rd gen projects. I'm originally from the bay but haven't been back since I was a little kid.

You wouldn't want to buy a house near me. The real estate market is nutty right now in the Bay Area. I live in San Jose near the border of Campbell. My little 3 bedroom 2 bath nothing of a house is supposedly currently worth 1 million dollars according to Zillow. I bought my house in 99 for MUCH less and there's no way I could afford to buy my house today with what I make as a firefighter.

But, if you've got money to burn, come on down to the neighborhood. I'd love to have a fellow 3rd Gen owner on my street.

Definitely let me know if you decide to go the route of replacing the seal. Sounds like a good challenge and learning experience.

I just helped a friend pull the transmission out of my girlfriend's shitty little Z3 BMW. The transmission wouldn't stay in reverse. It would pop out when you engaged the clutch. My friend is a long time mechanic and he know's a hell of a lot more than I do. So we pulled it out and got the thing apart which was a pain in the arse. He ordered the shift fork and other parts and fixed it. I just helped him put the transmission back in. I was stoked that the repair worked.

I don't think there's any way pulling the transmission out of one of our rigs could be as hard as working on that BMW. Should be a piece of cake.
 
I'd like one on how Tim maintains his yard. It looks nice. I am still cleaning up from Matthew at the moment.

Real estate prices in some parts of the country at the moment are nuts, crazy nuts.
