Do I / Can I have factory keyless entry???

Keyless is a factory option on any 4runner. You can always add the OME Keyless entry onto your 4runner but it would be cheaper and a better option to go aftermarket with Viper.
Anytime you buy a keyless entry system with best buy they will install it for free. Go check some out and see your different options. You can just do the keyless entry, or you can add various other options like remote start, auto window roll down, motion/proximity sensors.

Probably not, your truck isnt so equipped. I am also about to go the aftermarket route with a Viper keyless alarm/remote start.

It's badass. Two-way remotes rule.
I've gotten it dripping wet twice without any problem when tubing. I had started thinking it was bullet proof. Then one day I slammed it in the door at my friends house and cracked and disabled the LCD.
Replacement is $100.00 and it still works fine, you just can't see current status. So I end up re-locking it a lot (good thing for the lock-confirmed beep). But I'm just going to keep using it to punish myself for fiscal irresponsibility.

Get your VIN, call your dealer and have him check to see if you have keyless. If your dealer says you have it, go online and buy the fob. Thats what I did when I bought my 2005 and it didn't come with a fob. Fob cost me something like 50 bucks. Dont get viper if you dont have to.

If you'll go to the link above for keyless ride they'll give you a test to do to see if you are equipped which is rather involved.
Just select your year, make, model, tell it you dont know what it looks lke and ask it to guide you - there you go!

Those components are for the factory alarm system, not keyless entry. My '99 SR5 does NOT have them, but it does have keyless entry. You could try to locate the wireless buzzer on the passenger sidewall of the engine compartment. This is item #2 in the attached diagram. Or you could try to program the system following an on-line FSM and see if it responds.

it's all the other stuff like the weather techs, interior detail, etc...
That's not irresponsibility...that's just taking care of your truck! No shame in that whatsoever.
I do like that Viper system, though.

it's punishment for running a balance on my credit card. I will continue to use it until I can buy it's replacement with cash.

i've got an 01 SR5 with keyless entry, but don't think it has an alarm. how can I tell? I don't think there are any flashing lights on the dash anywhere....

Is that the only place it would be , under the seat ? Can you tell me roughly what that RS3000 looks like ( size etc.. ) ? My 98 is suppose to have the factory module but its sure not under the seat . My FOB went tits up too :repuke:
