Wow I didn't realize this forum was filled with so many safety nerds.

I feel you OP. I ride around arlington like this most days and I can honestly say that an airbag wouldn't help in saving my life

If you define a safety nerd as someone who wishes to live long enough to see their children grow up, then I'd say most humans are safety nerds.

If you had a small fender bender and yours went off...would you yank the airbag steering wheel and consider an old school toyota steering wheel in its place?

I don't know. I'll be able to form a better opinion after my air bag pops me in the face, I guess. And/or scares the poop out of me when it deploys.
