Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - from Exit Offroad

Couple questions...

I think I’m ready to jump on this but have some questions. Just got my 2019 Trd Pro, I’ve been reading for almost a year while waiting and I’ve come to the conclusion I want to do a 2” front and 1.5” rear lift. Finding something decent at these exact measurements has been hard. Now that Dobinson makes the 1” coil for the pro I was thinking 1” Dobinson front coil with a 1” Cornfed spacer to give me 2” total. The rear will be a 1.5” Cornfed spacer. I want to keep stock suspension and this car is strictly a mall crawler for me. Thoughts everyone?

Thanks!

The 1” coil is for the Bilsteins and the new Fox shocks have internal position sensitive dampening.

So in other words I don’t have an option lol.

Not necessarily you could just do a spacer up front with dobinsons rear coil and hope the valving is comfortable. You would need to know the front coil length and weight b4 experimenting with the dobinsons front lift coil. The fox trdpro system is to new at this point.

Thanks for your help, I don’t plan on doing lift/wheels/tires until spring anyways. I’ll have enough other mods to keep me busy until than. Maybe my spring they’ll have something ready to go for the ‘19s.

We haven't touched the new Pro's (with Fox suspension) to see what the new suspension is like and what's changed. Probably won't anytime soon actually. Could be completely different spring heights and factory ride height too than what they had before.

Thanks for the help selecting my lift components, Mike! Installed this myself in about 4 hours and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Sitting a little high right now because I had to take the RTT off to fit in the garage.

For those looking for pictures of a particular setup, here is mine.
GS59-700 Front Strut
C59-302 Front Spring (light)

GS59-701 Rear Shock
C59-325 Rear Spring (medium)

Rides much better than stock. Braking dive is less pronounced and the suspension does not get overwhelmed by rapid bumps like the stock suspension did.

FYI: Had the dealer align the truck after install. With stock UCAs, they were able to hit the acceptable range for Caster, but they were on the edge of it. Any higher than this and UCAs would be necessary.

Wow, looks great! Thanks for chiming in on the ride quality! Are you running 275s?

C59-302 vs C59-314

Dobinsons Mike said:
C59-302 - 100-220LBS heavy load front weight, 2" lift. 395/395mm, 17mm wire, 586LB
C59-302 - Stock front end load, 2.5" lift. 395/395mm, 17mm wire, 586LB
C59-314 - 80-150LBS medium load front weight, 2" lift. 405/405mm, 17mm wire, 586LB or these same coils will give 2.5" with light front accessory weight of 50-80LBS, or 3" of lift with no front accessory weight.

I have a 2018 SR5P and looking at coil options. My T4R will be stock weight until the next year where the plan is to add a winch bumper, winch, sliders, and skid plates.

I’m not seeing a difference between the 2 since I will probably be under the 150lbs with the bumper & winch combo I plan to use and be at 2” of lift. Is there any other differences except coil length since I’m assuming 586lb is the spring rate? And I’m assuming with a stock front end load, neither of these could be used with the GS59-574 strut.

The difference is with the lift height based on the weight used. You kind of answered your own question, just look at what each description of the coil says. With no weight, C59-302 will give 2.5", and with 100-220LBS, you'll get 2.0" (it will drop with weight).

Yes, 586LBS is the spring rate.

You can put them with the GS59-574 struts to add 1" of lift to the lifted coil height, so 3.5" or 3.0" total lift if those are combined.

Finally installed

For those wondering what 275's look like with the 300/599 combo, here you go.
Rides great, looks amazing. Super happy overall, thanks Mike!

So after taking measurements post lift front is 22" both driver and pass, rear driver 24" rear pass 25".....is this normal for the rear? I'm running 325 rear springs and measurements are from center of the hub. Just installed the lift yesterday so hasn't settled yet.
