Well, instead of making new threads every time I do something I figure its just as well I make one of these threads to keep it all together and keep up with what I've done.
August 3, 2013 purchased 97 T4R SR5 4x4 5 speed with 210,000 miles

Since then I've put in new bearings in the rear diff and new pinion and axle seals.

Sunday (10/6) my wife's 4runner had a low beam out and my headlights sucked so I swapped in Daystar's into both.
Also, decided the running boards had to go.

I noticed last weekend that the right side valve cover was leaking a little oil. This evening I cleaned it up and checked the valve cover bolts and 2 were only finger tight. I checked them all and got them all snug (not tight) and degreased the area so we'll see if it that fixes the problem. It had the valve cover gaskets replaced not too long before I bought it so I hope its just the nuts.

So, next up:
Taco whip antenna mod
water pump and timing belt
degrease/leak check the rest of the power train and change front diff, tranny and tcase fluids.
lift, tires, and maybe new wheels.

Its been a while since I've updated this….deer season distracted me for a few months.

In the last month I've put on a new alternator and new plugs and wires (both NGK)

If all goes as planned I'll be swapping on 17 inch wheels and tires this week.

Still gotta change some fluids and do the timing belt but I'm getting there bit by bit.

Nice runner! What kind of tires are you getting??

I bought a set of powder coated taco wheels with nearly new Cooper Discoverer AT3's on them.

I've got some catching up to do again.

I've changed fluids in tranny, tc, and front diff (rear was done in less than 10k ago)

did the whip antenna mod this weekend. Started painting trim.

Next up: timing belt/water pump and I think my maintenance will all be caught up. then its on to more fun stuff like lifts :clap2:

Next up paint bumpers to get rid of the chrome

Well this took a lot longer than plan but a lot happened at once this week.

Toytec/Eibach and Tundra Bilsteins up front, LC coils and shocks out back, new steering rack, inner/out tie rods, LBJs, wheel spacers, BudBilt front skid, diff drop installed by my mechanic. My guy hooks me up big time. He can do it faster and cheaper than I can do it myself. It's still at the shop, I've got to get down and pick it up tomorrow. Here's a bad pic but the only one I took today. I'll get better ones tomorrow.

Slightly better side view. Still haven't seen this in good daylight other than the above picture. New batter going in tomorrow and alignment ASAP.
