Does anyone know why vents stink after car wash??

Great question! I would like to know this too. I know the A/C can cause some moldy smells. The Sterlership has a cleansing process they put it through to kill all the bacteria in the lines and stuff.
That's the thing... I could understand the vents stinking if I was running a/c but I really dont have too... The vents just stink after a car wash and it sucks!!!

Maybe because when we wash or take it to a place where you manually wash/hose it, You also get water in the A/C Condenser.. this is my story and I'm sticking to it. lol

when i first bought mine it smelled this way too. i ripped out the carpet thinking it was moldy (which it was) and tossed it. still had the smell a few weeks later. long story short,
i took my dash apart and removed all the vents and ducts and cleaned them thoroughly with scolding hot water and bleach. I even sprayed hot water and bleach into the duct work i couldnt remove... turned the heat on and let it run for an hour to help evaporate water. i have not had the smell since.

p.s. i dont recommend you do this unless you know what your doing. I didnt know what i was doing but i was willing to take the chance.
