Door Inside Control Switches, Should They Light Up Or Not??

The switches on my doors do not light up.
I thought they did when first bought it.
Toyota dealer told me they don't light up but, I don't know if I should believe him or not just yet??

Now I'd like to ask the real experts!!!
Should the 2008 SR5 door control switches light up or not??
Do your SR5 switches light up?

I don't have an SR5 (I have a 2008 Limited) but I 'think' the control switches on the door are the same. The drivers door window is the only switch that lights up on my truck and it's barely visible.

'04 SR5 switches aren't lit except the word "AUTO" on the one sw. Doubt it's any different on an '08. Someone did a nice mod to add an LED to illuminate the area but I don't have a link (hope they chime in here.)

And that "auto" that is lit up only stays lit after you shut the engine off for 30 seconds or so if it's like the 3rd gens to show that the windows are still "active" and can be rolled up or down after you shut your truck off.

Only the "auto" switch is lit, no homelink buttons are lighted,we have to re-design the maplights to get 'em to come on when door is opened,really funky angle on gas pedal , NO headroom.Awkward closing rear hatch, Thought I'd be more impressed than I am. It'll be gone soon.
