Dous's Build Thread Version 2.0

I agree

Yukon just released their new hardcore hubs for the D44....I am bringing the Warns back and getting them. Quite a bit nicer, they look 100x better and are probably stronger. The also default to the locked position under use, unlike the Warns.

They are about 2x the price though

Damn! Yup $315 lol Nice upgrade!

You can, but you'd still be upgrading and upgrading which just adds more work and money lol... might as well knock it out at once. My only near future upgrades will be some RCV's or some different chromos, duals, better hubs, and of course, tires and more armor. I realized SAS on the cheap ain't worth it in the long run unless you love breaking shit or driving a clapped out truck lol.

Oh look someone gets my perspective on all this lol I mean yeah you could leaf the front and rear and use toy axle and that is cool and all but at the same time I would rather pay out and build a indestructible setup right off and spend more time wheeling and less time fixing

:lmao:  sir

...TOTAL: $8110...

and thats why i wont be SASing my runner, ever... if im gonna put that kinda money into something, its gonna be over landing stuff like a RTT, nice drawer system and fridge, some RCVs, a rear bumper, new set of ARBs, my trailer build ect... $8k will go a long ways in many other things

dont get me wrong man, i know its worth it, but for me i would want to use that SAS too much and id end up with a beat up rig in no time, or id be a mall crawler cause id be to afraid to take it out and "use" it -this is probably more like it. i just couldnt justify spending that much to end up with a truck i either dont use or is all beat up.

you will have one BA rig though, just try and keep it nice and clean, and that goes for you too downpour11

lol yup it's all for the love of the hobby, the fun, and the memories! Meh, I'll try and keep it clean and not a raisin, but this is what we love to do and it comes with the fun. I'm not worried about it. Shitlbuffout. What's that saying... "It's all about the things you break and the friends you make!" :D

So I finally got a tangible ETA on the coilovers....this coming Tuesday

Which means, it's time to get started!

All my parts are loaded up, get to drive the IFS to work one final time, kind of bittersweet

I think now that I have all the big picture parts we will bang it out pretty quick. Plus it can't occupy one of our lifts for too long

We made some awesome progress after work today! We will be back at it again at 9AM tomorrow

Here are the pictures the fabmaster put on FB, I will upload mine in time...but I am wiped out at the moment

I will admit it was pretty scary to see it get cut off, but it's like ripping off a band-aid!

I can't wait to have this thing out on the trails!
