Dous's Build Thread Version 2.0

I liked it better when it was mine ;)

Its Granddaddy is going to be a site to marvel at though!

Haha, I may be a granddaddy when it is done, Chief!

Anyways, I have been really lazy with the camera lately. The 4runner is done aside from D-shaft and the necessary crossmember modifications. I got it aligned at 4wp, and they did a pretty decent job for 100 bucks. It handles pretty dang awesome! Had it on the highway and did about 85 MPH, and it was smooth as glass. As expected the steering was a bit loose, probably needs a stabilizer.

Here is a little video of the acceleration post SAS, not too bad....you can hear a little tire chirp from 1st to 2nd :pimp:

My driveshaft finally came in today!

I will also be going to Windrock for a long weekend April 11th, so there should finally be some wheeling pictures.

That is full droop without limiting straps, I have it limited about 1.5" before that. It's a tad bit steep, but works with some grinding. We will see how it holds up!

nice! should be just fine. I'll need some limiting straps sooner or later lol

Haha, yea I figured they were a good idea...did you ever do anything for bumpstops?

I have been really happy with my Eibach foam shaft mounted units, super easy install too!

No not yet… they're on the list though haha. Stupid things costing money and stuff… I hate money!

Finished up the skid plate this evening...brushing up a bit on my welding with our MIG unit

If anyone is interested I will be doing an open house in the background van tomorrow, rape is included.

Sweet! I'm headed to Windrock next month for 5 days. Looking forward to your trail reports.
Your rig looks awesome!

Thanks my friend!

It's an awesome place, so massive....easy to get lost though! Hopefully you will have a person who has been once or twice

Getting ready to head out for another full day on the trail. Here is just a picture someone posted from yesterday, there should be many more to come
