Thanks man! I'm going to order shims and some shock oil so I can get these coilovers tuned. When I do that, I'll paint everything. It's already starting to rust… I'm gonna have fun with some sandpaper. I did paint the frame under the plating though, but everything else needs to get painted bad.
He likes them a lot, I don't think he's had em in snow yet though. Pretty sure he bought them this summer. I'd ask Sam (Rockdawg84), His wife has a set on her 4th gen. From what I hear, they are badass tires. [MENTION=88231]having fun[/MENTION] has a set on his 4th gen too.
Hahaha thanks! I'm at 415k right now. I've been beating the crap out of the truck but it's staying true. Going back up to High Lakes this weekend, supposed to snow Friday/Saturday. When I got back this weekend, I popped the hood and my K&N had fallen off and was flopping around. :brick: All is well though, I have a low idle at times, but I need to do some engine maintenance anyway.
Hit the front diff reallllly hard on a rock, but it's fine. Also came around a corner pretty fast into a fallen tree limb sticking out, got a nice crack on the windshield lol, it needs replacing anyway. My friend (in the truck who rolled) came around the same corner behind me and that limb completely took off his side mirror hahaha. Good times.
It's coming in the next couple months. Basically just waiting for my friends truck to get finished first, his junk is in the way.

Definitely! I'll prob just be doing trips to high lakes for a while since it's so close, so let me know if you ever make it up this way.

For sure. Might try get up to the reservoirs near Truckee on the 28th to do some mild snow wheelin for the day. I need to fix my rear shock mounts first though. Pulled out the right upper stud mount last weekend in Rubicon and need to find a way to fix it...

Yeah I saw that in your build! That sucks! That mount is wallowed out bad… You decide what you're gonna do?

I'd love to get out to Colorado someday. One day I'll make a road trip out there. I have a couple stops in Utah I need to make as well (Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Moab).

All very solid choices. [MENTION=67615]Dirtco[/MENTION] has some real badass photos of his trips out to Moab, as well as two attempts to Holy Cross City I think so far. the terrain here looks similar to norCal. those look like some fun trails

My experience with the STT'S, minimal road noise for being M/T'S. On dirt roads little drifty when loose ground, when breaking traction on rock climbing, tends to chunk due to soft rubber, using lower gear and just crawl, they grip. Handles pretty good on very low pressure. As used on the street, they do where down fast.
Haven't tried them on snow yet, winter is just starting.

Just wanted to say I enjoyed your build. I've been wheeling an FJ62 for 16 yrs, but I recently got a 3rd gen as a daily driver. I joined this forum to get some ideas for what I'll eventually do in a few years. You gave me plenty!

Thank you! It's been a dream of mine to do this. Finally decided to bite the bullet and it's been a blast to drive and wheel. Completely worth it! I love this truck.
