CB Setup!
Midland 1001LWX 40 channel w/ weatherscan

Install was very smooth. I used a mini add-a-fuse for power. Didn't want to pull apart the dash to install the CB in the ashtray spot because I don't have anything to cut the plastic off in the back so I put it here (I have more than enough leg room btw):::
Headed out to see if I can find a used dremel so I can get some of this powdercoating off the mount so the antenna will ground. Also, probably going to drill a ground wire from the mount to the body.
Then tomorrow, going to get it tuned.
How did you run the cable to the outside, I am planning to run mine like this. this would be most helpful.

When you run the coax to the rear cargo area in the side panels, just pull up the carpet a little bit after you pull that last rear panel off (you don't need to entirely pull it off) and you can run the cable through the vent in the pic. A lot easier for me since I don't have a rear bumper though.

Okay, that makes since. I will probably be getting a new rear bumper around summer time. thats at least my goal.

Yeah there are a couple ways to do it, I think you could still run it the way I did without taking your stock rear bumper off, just reach up in there under your bumper and grab the coax out of the vent.

Haha yeah I'm having so much more fun off-roading up here in Norcal than around Tucson.
I got out of the truck and started laughing when I saw the skid plate all bent out...into the trash it goes. My priority list for things to do on the truck keeps getting all switched around. In december I went from needing sliders after denting the rocker panel, then a couple weeks ago blew out my upper ball joint, so now I need some uniball UCA's... now my skid gets ripped off so now I need to look at some underbody armor. AND my rear tires are bald... ugh.. At least I'm getting some good off-roading in haha it's all about breaking stuff and then building it better. We were gonna go camping this coming weekend but I think Jon's got some front diff damage
so hopefully he can get it fixed soon.

Damn right you do! lol plan a trip down here in the summer and we'll definitely hit some trails and go camping.

Love em. Rockdawg84 turned me on to them when I was in the market for tires 2 years ago. I originally wanted the Firestone Destination M/T's but they discontinued the 315/75r16's. So my second choice was the MTZ's tied with the cooper STT's, but the MTZ's were a little cheaper.. I've abused the hell out of them and they are still holding up. I need new tires now since these are getting bald, but I have a good 50k miles on them. A little sidewall chunking but that's my fault for not extending my bump stops and stuffing the tire too far into the fender.
Awesome on rocks, never had any traction problems in the rain, great in mud, aired down to 8psi in the snow they are really good too. Ice is ice lol. Never had them in much sand.
I will be buying another set when funds allow.
My prior tire experience has just been Procomp xterrains and procomp extreme mud terrains so its not like I've been through a bunch of different brands of tires but I love the MTZ's.

yea idk i found a decent deal locally for 33s but dont know if i "need" them.
more like its a good deal so i should buy them but my duratracs still have a lot of life left in them.
only reason why im comtemplating is that they baja mtz are 33s and the duratracs i have now are more like 31-32s
thanks for the feedback though, i have till tomorrow morning to decide if i want them or not

I say grab the MTZ's and sell the duratracs. PM rickashay, he has MTZ's in 33's. Depends on what you'll really be using them for though. The duratracs are great tires from what I've read, but if you want more from your tires, grab the MTZ's if it's justifiable.

Went camping with Jon and Stoke Friday/Saturday. Awesome trip and we finally made it to Bowman Lake. Passed up a nice straight axle Toyota pickup who couldn't make it up. Jon plowed the road for all of us. I thank him and his new f/r lockers lol and thanks to Stoke for pulling me out, funny video along with that. We grabbed a really good camping spot and played on some rocks Saturday morning. The snow at the peak was really shitty but we trucked through it.
