DOWNPOUR11's Build Thread

damn man, such a nice rig too. looks saveble if he throw in a roll cage and do some bending with the pillers. or claim it and buy it back to make it a trail rig.

It should be savable… He's going to buff it out and get an interior cage in there. He literally finished the build a week ago. Pretty sure this was it's first outing. It definitely sucks, but shit happens and it comes with what we love to do. We all still had a great time. Luckily no one was hurt.

I tried to knock the windshield out with a sledge but it wasn't budging. It didn't want to fold back out lol Our friends got a trailer up there for him the next morning and got him back to Sacto.

yeah as long as glass and windows fit he should be okay. seen a couple guys at fordyce flop and just end up driving home with no windshield and a helmet.

there are a couple yards in sac with 3rd gen bodies too if he try to swap it out.

Do you think the height had anything to do with it? His rig looks like a skyscraper! I'm glad it is savable because it is truly beautiful.

It was way too tall. Biggest factor, Sam knew that though. It came out taller than he expected and I don't think it would've rolled if it were lower, but I didn't see it, I came around the corner a second after. Also, he's got a body lift on there from when he was IFS.

A one inch body lift isn't going to make a difference when his frame height is 48"

Yeah, I think thats just a little high for me... i'm just glad he didn't plan it that way. I saw a third gen the other day that had to be a foot and a half up...... it was gross...

ouchhh that makes me sad because it's Millennium Silver and it looks like my truck :sobbing:

Glad everyone's okay though...yank a leaf outta that thing!

lol hopefully you didn't take Connor's joke serious… his frame height was around 28". TG 5" springs in front, Bronco Wild Horse coils in the rear.

haha his is gold, don't worry.

Damn, that really sucks.. Good looking rig though. Being that tall you need to be extremely cautious. It doesn't seem like driving 30mph at night in snow was the most cautious idea. What's done is done though. Hope he gets it fixed up and if he plans to keep it the same height, hope he plans on interior and exterior cages lol.

btw, are you guys gonna be cranking out the new low-pro windshield light bar mounts or are yall waiting for me?

Yeahhh, we we're having "too much fun". Good times though. It was a great trip.

Poor Sam! Glad too hear he's OK. At least it was a flat roll and not down a hill. You weren't lyin about the height on that thing. I got the seats done and skids should be up tomorrow. Hit me up if you wanna go wheeling tomorrow in stead. I shouldn't need skid for snow......right! I'll have the wife and lil one and Bayn. Have to be back by 3 to pick up Graci from school. I'm thinking about the road under Scotts Flat Reservoir just East of Nevada City. That's where I got stuck last year and was lucky to have the winch.
