Dream Mod

If you could add one mod to your vehicle, cost being no object, what would it be? Something ordinary like a light bar or HIDs? Something less ordinary like a supercharger or a full SAS? ONE mod, what would it be?

As boring as this sounds, mine would be a electric motor driven AC compressor. My single complaint about our 4Runner is that I can feel every time that compressor kicks on. Drives me nuts.

What's yours?

a simple one that is truly needed for me would be lights in the switches on the doors for windows, etc. & one that i really dont need but think would be nice is a supercharger for my V8.

either a s/c or mild turbo kit (not the squires one).

i think going the custom turbo route would not only be big $$$ but big headaches as well, though.

if a roots-type s/c can fit under the hood, i'd be okay with that. if clearance is an issue, then maybe a centrifugal s/c.

* 1VD-FTV
* Type: V8 DOHC 32 Valve Variable Geometry Intercooled Turbo Diesel
* Displacement: 4461 cc
* Compression ratio: 16.8:1
* Fuel System: Common Rail Direct Injection
* Maximum power: (single-turbo) 151 kW @ 3400 rpm; (twin-turbo) 194 kW at 3400 rpm
* Maximum torque: (single-turbo) 430 Nm @ 1200-3200 rpm; (twin-turbo) 649 Nm @ 1600-2600 rpm
* Bore x Stroke (mm) 86 x 96

So...260 HP / 479 lb-ft of Torque...monster. Couple that up with the Inchworm...It would crawl up a building or pull it down.

oh Snap!:guitar3::eek:

Since money is not an issue, I see no reason why you cant put CAT industrial diesel in with 2500+lb/ft of torque......just imagine.
With some Rockwell top-loader axles, the ride of a Sedan DeVille the articulation of Roams' rig and the handling of a new 'vette... I'm there:girl: :lmao:
