Drifter cb mounts, 3rd,4th,5th, and fjcs!

Sent PM. Interested in a 5th gen drivers side. Hoping for as clean of an install and look as possible.
 
Mock ups of the 4th and 5th gen mounts are up. Bear in mind these are just sheet metal where the mounts will be fully welded steel (I believe we are going with 10 guage) with the t4r cut out (or fj)

It's new parts a promise. The 5th gen we were testing on didn't have a cb installed yet, but it will be mounted to metal similarly to the 3rd Gen so I don't see grounding being an issue. But it's something I will try to test

Hmmm. Have you been able to test the swr there? I had terrible results with the hatch mount I had previously. Was really hoping for something similar to the 3rd and 5th gen down around the bumper. Have you considered between the bumper and the tail light? There's been a couple guys that have put them down there. The only problem is that the 06-09 has a different slope from the 03-05 rear end.
 
Haven't been able to test it yet, but I'll see what I can do. We were originally hoping to have it by the bumper similar to the 3rd Gen but couldn't find a good/simple way. I was talking with a guy who had his mounted down under the taillight and he was getting rid of it since it was too loose for his liking and was hard to install. I'll see if I can figure another way out though
