Drifter cb mounts, 3rd,4th,5th, and fjcs!

Do you at least have a new mockup, design drawing, or good description on how and where the new 5th gen design will work?

The 5th gen mount hasn't really changed from the original pic I posted. The only difference is that it will mount using 2 bolts instead of just 1. Tim meet with our cutter on Friday who is skilled in how the mount has to be cut to be made (there's a lot more bends than the 3rd Gen mounts ) he is going to try to get started on them this week if he has the time available. I am working out a deal for you guys since we have had to keep pushing our deadline back

How two bolts? I'm only seeing one per side on my 2015 T4R TE.

I'll do my best to explain without pictures. If you remove the tail light housing you will have access to the hatch bump stops, those are held in by 2 bolts. You would remove those bolts and the mount will be placed behind it and everything will be retightened. If I have access to a 5th gen this weekend I'll take some pics

Has his been water tested? I would imagine the bump stop is engineered so it won't let water in to the cabin. with the space created by the antenna mounts, have you water pressured tested after everything has been put in place?

No new news fromt he cutter, I have been working with him to get these ready asap

We haven't water tested one yet, but I will make sure we do when we have them all ready. Since the bumpstop is fully covered with the hatch closed I don't see it being a problem though.

Had to repost... Not sure why my last one had a "thumbs down" icon attached... Far from what was intended...

Looking forward to getting these mounts.. Have a camping trip Presidents weekend where I could show it off, but I would rather have the mounts "great" rather than just "o.k"..
