I’ve read all the posts about how you’re supposed to use the two different lubes and heard so many different answers. Since I’m anal about maintenance I’m wondering how many of you actually do it. I’m sure I’d take it too far and buy two grease guns with each type so I’m curious how many people do it. You don’t have to go into explanations, you can just type ‘yes’ if you do or ‘no’ if you don’t.

Yup, I don’t bother with 2 types of grease. I use “Green Grease” it’s a synthetic lithium marine grease every oil change or 6 months. Pump grease into the slip/slide yokes until you see the piston/shaft move - if it’s your 1st time it could take more than 15 pumps. Any Grease is better than no grease and there’s many that never even grease them.

i just use a generic lithium based grease fortified with molly. usually a hightemp black or green, marine is even better. but as said already any grease is better than no grease

I don't see the point in using two different types of greases. The manual specifies using of two greases, but it's not like if you use a different grease, then your car will explode.

I personally use Sta-Lube Molygraph grease.

Nope, just 1 grease for me also. I use a good synthetic grease is all.

I've used green grease on both of my t4rs. 130k on one. 205k on the other. 0 issues.

I switched to using two greases only because I was having trouble getting the moly grease to go into the spiders. Mobil 1 goes in much easier. Still use the moly for the slides yokes.

One grease, M1. Very recent owner, however, and generally only ever on-road and no towing.

Just did this today. No 2 lith on spiders and moly on slide yokes. Was not as annoying as i thought it would be, and i just have the one grease gun.
