Drive shaft clunk gone with lift kit?

So back in November I installed a ToyTech Boss lift on my 2006 sport V6 with 196k miles. Before I installed the lift I was getting the clunking sound coming from the driveshaft yolk. When that starts to happen I usually would grease the yolk via the grease fitting to quite the clunking.

However, I did not have a chance to grease the yolk before installing the lift and the clunking has gone away. It seems to me the lift has respostioned the driveshaft so it is not strained anymore? I do plan to grease everything this spring but was wondering if others noticed this too?

I've heard over greasing can cause clunking too. So perhaps the lift gained you some room in the slip joint?

When did yours make the clunking sound? I've noticed my 4R makes a very slight clunk when I come to a stop, and sometimes just as I take off from a stop light.

Yep that's exactly what mine was doing too. Based on my research on this forum adding more grease to the slip joint/yoke seems to fix the problem for awhile, but the clunking will come back eventually and require another round of grease. However with the lift, my clunking went away altogether. Wondering if others have had this happen too?
