Driver side window failed..

hey, guys..my very first posts here.
i got 1998 2wd. my driver side window switch (only), had broken off and so i replaced the whole control unit into a new one. still dont work h'ever. what cud be the other problem? need help since im planning to sell the truck.

You may want to double check your connections and make sure theyre snug. My driverside window assembly retaining clips broke several months ago and it "sunk" into the door panel. I was able to re-secure it with glue. Window switch worked fine after that but two weeks later i was driving into work one morning & it started to rain and my window wouldnt go up. I pulled it into a goodyear by my work since i didnt have time to take a look at it myself and it turned out one of the wires had slightly come loose. $50 bucks later it was fixed...that stung a little bit but it was worth not getting my interior drenched.

ok, thanks. i will try to play with the plug harness and check if anything is loose. it was working fine before until that plastic switch for the driver side window to open/close, had broken off.
