now if you could find the wire to cut at the "normally closed" relay on the Fogs that "opens"/turns off the fogs when one hits the hi beams. :dance:
Know that there is a mod to rewire the switch under the steering column to do this.
But if one is going to cut the DRL relay switch might as well cut the Fog light interrupt with hi beam wire as well.

Keep in mind that this may be illegal depending on your state/province highway traffic laws.
Also, it's rather pointless. High beams are (obviously) designed to light up the road further away from the vehicle which also draws your eyes further down the road since that's where you can see best. Fogs flood the area right in front of the vehicle with light for low speed driving which draws your eyes back in and doesn't allow them to focus as well on objects further away from you. Using both at once won't have any beneficial effect other than possibly receiving a ticket. Just throwing that out there for consideration.

personal preference from driving race cars ( Rally cross). I want light both for distance and up close.
Do the auto headlights work still?
Did you cut the wire or get rid of the pin in the relay?

That freaking relay is $150+!!! Yes, it is a solid-state-relay... but still.... shouldn't be $100+!!!
I kind of figured it out so far, that either get into the "Relay/Fuse" box, fiddle with the wires underneath where the fuse and relay plug in? (this is probably what "Spiltzecker" did) or fiddle with the wires.
I probably will try to fiddle with the wires... most likely to tackle the 2C plug. I haven't been able to figure out how to get to FA1 connector yet.
The "connector" diagram folder that I got from the 2010 EWD that one of our member posted do not have the details on FA1. :-(
I believed if we pull out wire 17 @ FA1, the High(Headlight) A14 & A24 will no longer turn on as DRL, while HighBeam function should still be the same as before. Then the LG(light-green) DRL control signal can feed my intended DRL - either the LOW trigger of a Rigid Hi/Lo Light pair (Rigid Industries High & Low Dual Function LED Lights |Rigid Industries LED Lighting, Leader in Off road LED light bars, truck LED lights, Marine LEDs, and Industrial LEDs) or to turn on the FogLight as DRL

I just want them off with the auto headlights.
You've mentioned replacing the DRLs with a projector but I want to know how you isolated the DRL from the high beam? I asked in another thread.
Basically if we can isolate the DRL from the high beam we can do what we are trying to do.
I wish I was more help on the electrical but its something I don't really "get".

In my post above (there is the diagram), if you disconnect the DRL signal(anywhere along the line, from pin37 of 2C or the LG/LightGreen wire inside the harness or pin17 of FA1 or the LG/LightGreen wire inside the Relay/Fuse Box/underneath the relays&fuses) from the Main ECU to the DRL Relay, you isolated the DRL from the high beam.
Now, you can take that DRL signal, and use it to drive something else..... probably should thru a relay tho.
I hoped that it is clear enough?
